Daily Detail Reports with Encore Pro

Post by UmmYeah » Sun Oct 28, 2007 1:25 pm

When I download the data from the Smart Card, Encore Pro offers me the option of creating reports at that time. When I select to create the reports, I can select the compliance reports with daily details. The report is generally 12 pages long with summary data as well as daily details.

However, if I am NOT downloading data from the Smart Card and I try to run the detailed report, it does NOT offer me the option of getting the daily details, only giving me a 3 page summary report for the days selected. I looked on the Help file and found the following information:
To create a Compliance Download Interaction report
Open a patient’s record (from the Encore Pro homepage, double-click on the Patient's Name or right-click on the Patient’s Name and select Open Patient Homepage).

From the Interaction List, right-click on a compliance download and select View Interaction Report. The Report Options screen appears.

Select Summary, Trend or Full Details, and click OK.
If you try to follow these directions, you will quickly discover that there is no "compliance download" section on the Interaction List and that right clicking on ANY option there does not give you a context sensitive menu to do anything. So to make a short question long, does anyone know how to produce the daily detail report out of Encore Pro without downloading data immediately prior to running the report? (I'm using 1.8.49 and a Respironics M Series Auto with A-Flex, if that matters.)

open Encore Pro, Click on the patient name, click on the sleep therapy compliance download you want to work with. Report options comes up, select what you want, very simple. Jim

Thanks for the help, but that's the whole problem. I don't have a section called Sleep Therapy Compliance Download when I'm on the patient homepage. There is a Reports section but it only allows three options, one of which is "Multiple Download Compliance Report." However, that report is a 3 page summary with no daily details and there is no opportunity to select the Full Details as there is immediately after a download. I have some print screens I pasted on a Word doc but I don't know how to insert them in here or else I would. Sorry to hector you with questions.

Did you create a patient profile to download into? If so it should work as I said, if not I don't know. Jim

When I download my card, I open a report set for full details, when I close the report it writes the full data into my sleep therapy compliance files. Jim

Maybe whatever way you look at the data report deturmins the report it stores. I always go for the full details, if not why would I want software.

UmmYeah.

Are you using the Encore Viewer or the Encore Pro software?

I'm using Encore Pro 1.8.49. When I download data from the card, I ALWAYS view the Full Details from the list. I usually save it to PDF as well. I was just trying to see if there was a way to see the detailed report without downloading data immediately before viewing the report. I have created a patient profile but I don't seem to be seeing what you see, Goofproof. I can't figure it out.

No, you have to download the data from the card FIRST, so Encore Pro can work its "magic" on the data.

Process should be:

1. Create a patient profile for yourself in Encore.
2. "Select" that patient profile in Encore,
3. Download data from Smartcard (data is saved as a interaction within that selected profile in #2).
4. You select the options you want to Display the report (Detailed is always best),
5. You can save/export that on-screen Detailed report to a PDF, HTML or XML document in addition to the interaction being saved into the database.

If you don't create & select the patient Profile before downloading, I don't think it will save the interaction.

UmmYeah,

I've got EP up right now and earlier I downloaded my Smartcard data. Here are the exact steps:

1. Open EP
2. Double-click on the patient name that is yours (I'll assume you have only one)
3. In the spot where patient name appeared in #2, you now have a list of dates you downloaded data.
4. Pick which of the dates in #3 you want and double-click on that date
5. You will now see a box called "Report Options"
6. On the left hand side, select type of report (summary, trend or full details)
7. On the right-hand side, select the date range you want (only the data from that download can be accessed) or all data
8. Click on OK
If you selected "Full details", you'll now have a duplicate of the report produced after download (if your preferences are set to do that).

If, as I suspect, you're looking for a way to get full details for multiple downloads in one report, I'd suggest using EncorePro Analyzer - that's an awesome piece of software by our own JSkinner!

I don't know if the Encore Pro menu looks different when it runs data from an APAP versus a CPAP, or if the reports are just different, but I do use the same Encore Pro version you do for my M-Series CPAP

So, what you're saying is that you get this screen...

But when you right click on one of the dates in Interaction List, you don't get this, so you could then click on "View Interaction Report," which would give you the "Report Options" window, etc.?

When I download detailed reports for one day, the full reports are 5 pages long. I have a CPAP w/CFlex, so my reports might be shorter than an APAP.

I follow these instructions above all the time and I get the exact same reports as when I download off the card and run a report right then.

If you're trying to run a report directly off the card, you can't do that, I don't think.

Yes, that is the way I think it works and you would get exactly the same data as on the "download report". The data on the Smartcard has to be decoded from binary to something readable so even when we download, the report is generated after it is loaded into the database.

I think we have a winner! I didn't realize you had to select a DATE from the list. I was selecting from the menu items on the FAR left under the title "Interactions" rather than the dates labelled "Interaction Lists". Thank you all for your patience and understanding!

And I do have Encore Pro Analyzer as well! They've both been a big help!
