So I broke down and bought the CPAP pillow. It seemed like a bunch of money for a pillow, but it made all the difference in the world. I am able to side sleep MUCH easier since the pillow has a notch on the side for the mask and hose. Even back sleeping was better because it cradles your neck and keeps it straight.
I would recommend this thing to anyone struggling.

yayyy! someone bought it! i was wondering about this one, but spent $80 on a papillow not so long ago...if i'd seen this one first i definitely would have gone for it instead...i like the papillow better than a regular pillow, but this thing looks even better!
glad you like it, jqp...thanks for posting

This one was about $60.
Considering I paid $6 for the last pillow I bought, I choked a little at the price.
Well worth it though.
Now, if they only made a pillow with an automatic arm that reached around and closed my mouth when if drops open... I'd pay $80 for that.

I'm glad to hear the report, as I'd been looking at that one. There's a DME in town who sells them. I found this out just after I bought a papillow for my birthday treat. It doesn't work for me, but hurts my neck/jaw. One of the things that seems to aggravate my TMJ. So, I will give it to a family member who will be getting a cpap soon who I think uses higher pillows than I do. At least someone will get some good out of it. I may try this one sometime.

you mean you couldn't take your turkey carving knife to one of your existing pillows?
It it what they made those electric knives for.
someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

What is the cpap pillow made of Is it regular foam? Memory foam? I currently use memory foam and love it but it doesn't work very well with my mask.

That would mean feathers all over the place . Synthetic feathers, that is. . .

I got it at
http://www.contourliving.com
It's made of a molded foam (not memory foam)
The foam is fairly stiff, but it's sculpted to your head and neck, so it works well. There's even a scoop out for your ear when you side sleep.
It has a zippered terry cloth like cover on it... I'm not sure what you call that fabric. I just slipped it inside my regulat pillow case. It doesn't look funky on the bed (if you're a pillow Nazi.) It looks like a regular sized pillow at first glance.

I use an Isotonic memory foam pillow that is half memory foam on one side and synthetic "down" on the other side.
For me, when used with cpap, It's much better than a 100% memory foam pillow

This looks very interesting; thanks for posting it.
I have an unrelated question: On the
website where it says "Works with all Major Brands and Styles of CPAP Masks", what mask is the guy wearing in the right lower corner picture?
