Those are cute little jars! A bit small at 5 grams for what I'm looking for. I have some mineral makeup samples that came in that sized container and I think they would be good for cuticle cream or lip balm, but I have tubes for that.
I may take a drive to the Container Store this weekend if I don't go to the county fair.

I would be better off going to the Container Store since the fair has cinnamon buns, corn on the cob, and corndogs!

I am finding all kinds of crap I forgot I had. oops.
Not only lots of crap I forgot I had, but duplicates of lots of crap I forgot I had!

When I cleaned out the storage shed, I found all these gardening tools, pruners and sheers. Inside the house I'm finding extension cords, nail trimmers, and stuff like that everywhere. Too funny!

You will be so happy after you get things in order. If my space is orderly, my mind feels orderly.

Jen, I know exactly about the duplicates. When you're tired and overstressed, and can't find something, it's easier to buy another one. When I cleaned out my friend Roberta's house this spring, we found MANY DUPLICATES of all kinds of items. The saddest thing? Many many many unopened cleaning supplies... She meant well, the poor dear.

Don't forget http://www.craigslist.org! You need to support your OCM habit! As in, sell the duplicates!

Also, look into the Yahoo Group Freecycler for your area. I can't get into Yahoo or Craigslist from here.

My states has this cool thing called http://www.2good2toss.com. It's free, you can't list anything for more than $99, and I can get into it from here. LOVE IT! Just bought myself one of those pedicure spa bath things with TONS of attachments, heat, massage, the whole works, for $5!!!! Wheee!!!

Also, ask your neighborhood school if they have a program to collect used clothing and/or household supplies for needy families in your district. My district has an organization called "Caring for Kids" started by a retired school bus driver. There are donation bins in every school and the main office. She collects stuff and distributes it to needy families. She also gets grants to buy new stuff, and then when we know we have a need, we just call her, and hook her up with a needy student or family. It's really snowballed. She covers three districts in close proximity here south of Tacoma, and does tons of good. Can't hurt to ask if someone in your neighborhood is doing something similar. Really feels good to donate to a place you know is going directly to help those who have less than you do.

Cheers,
B.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

I really need to checkout out craigslist and freecycle. I keep hearing about them, but never looked at them. Sounds awesome!

Oh, BTW, if the school says "Huh?" to you, call the district office. And then also throw the words "Communities in Schools" at them, and ask if there is a local office of CIS in your area. It's a nationwide program, with local offices. CIS is the office that "parents" Caring for Kids in my district.

You can try asking for "Student Services" department, since that's where such things "live" in my district.

Now, as for buying/selling stuff cheap and free, you might also look at the website for your local dump, and see if they offer a similar service to http://www.2good2toss.com. If they DON'T, send them the link and tell them to get on the ball.

LOL,
B.

Yeah.....I have found 5 pairs of finger nail clippers and 3 toenail so far. I also found a bucket full of pens....I lose them so I just keep buying more. 5 rolls of scotch tape. I am the queen of oops-cant find it-just buy another. Oh....and 4 bottles of clear nail polish. This is just from cleaning my office area. I havent even gotten to the rest of the house yet.

Going up to San Francisco tonight! Meeting up with someone I was seeing on and off for about a year and a half. We are thinking about giving it another try. So wish me luck.

I wish I would have taken more time for myself when taking care of young children! I see young mother's doing it now and wonder why I had to be Wonder Woman. I see them take the time to get refreshed and I believe that helps them have more energy for all that is tough when raising kids.

I'm proud of you! Have fun!!

Well....I am back home. Good night. However I was a baaaaaad girl. I admit it. We went to bed at about 3 and he had to get up at 5:30 to be ready for a 7am tee time for a work golf thing. I could not bring myself to hook up the CPAP. I just kind of stayed mostly awake until he left at 6....then put out the CPAP and slept for a few hours. Why was this so hard for me? I am comfortable with the fact that I need it.

I have loved this man for years. We have gone our seperate ways but always end up back together. Things are finally going in a positive direction and we are working through a lot of things and talking about a future. Maybe I just didnt want to rock the boat. I dont know. I do know that next time I am up there I am going to have to power past it and use the machine.

Anyway.....great trip. Lots of things solved. I feel like a huge weight is lifted and I am just happy. Life seems to be falling into place right now.

I am cleaning the kitchen today in a big way. I just feel like I need to get everything in order. Plus with all this energy and current positive attitide I feel like I can get a lot done.

Questions for you ladies: Where do you keep your CPAP during the day? I hate that mine sits on the night stand, hoses and all. It looks so messy, but it seems so inconvenient to move it around every morning and night. This is especially so when I am pushing myself out the door by the skin of my teeth each morning. I've never been a morning person, and it was especially worse before CPAP therapy

I have mine inside of a small soft-sided cat carrier so that my cats don't turn it off on me during the night. The carrier sits on a little low support stand between the bed and the nightstand. When I make my bed, the comforter is so fluffy that you can't see it at all. At night, the comforter is folded back so the machine gets plenty of air through the mesh sides.

jennmary, glad to hear you had a great time!
