I tried bare minerals and itched anywhere it was on my face. Unbearable! They had a hard time believing I was allergic but did accept the return and promptly gave me credit. If it hadn't caused my skin to react, I wouldn't have liked it anyway. It seemed to sit on my skin versus as the advertisement touted becoming invisible. I'm back to liquid foundation - when I wear it : )socknitster wrote:I'm curious if anyone here uses mineral make up? If so what kinds and how do you feel about it? It is getting so popular the drugstore brands are jumping on the bandwagon and I don't know if it is really the same or not.
I used Jane Iredale from a local medspa, very spendy and worked fine but the coverage was very light.
I currently use physicians formula (less than 1/4 the price) available at drugstores and target and since I'm a little teeny bit tan from gardening I had to mix the two lightest tones to come up with my actual shade because the lightest was too light and the next one up was too tan. I like it fine.
I have always wanted to try bareminerals (it was the first one out, I think), but again, its spendy.
And now I've seen one at the health food store, but the name is eluding me at the moment. I'm wondering if I should try that one.
I actually have few books about making soaps, but haven't tried it yet. I will someday, I'm sure. It is right up my alley!

Wearing a mask at night has made the skin around my nose even more sensitive - however I'm fortunate that to date no breakouts. Just a slight redness and a feeling of being tender.
