I couldnt sleep at all last nite
WOW! I'm really hating the Mirage Swift mask. I did the adjustments that I found. I put tape on the ends of the tube to prevent leakage, I put the little velcro piece in the top of my headstrap so that I can move around. (Yes, I like to sleep on my side and front) I tightened as described in another thread. I used that AYR for 2 nites, I'm getting little pimple bumps on the inside of my nose. I'm miserable today. I woke up and the bottom strap is on top of my head, pulling my nose, ouch it hurts so much today, it feels like its broken. The nasal pillows move around and all I hear is hissing and my lip gets cold. Thankfully, I'm NOT a mouthbreather or I'd really be in a pickle of a mess. Did I miss a direction or something? HELP!!!! Please....
That mask didn't work for me either. If you aren't totally against it I would try a good nasal mask. I originally started thinking I just had to have the nasal pillows kind (it was vanity on my part) but I now use only a F&P 406 and I sleep well it that. There are many masks out there though and something else will probably work better for you.

The Swift really is not the best mask for side or tummy sleeping IMO (although there are some who say it works for them). As for head strap riding up over head ... just tie your hair into ponytail and slip headstrap underneath it.
For side and/or tummy sleeping you need a mask that is relatively narrow ... like Breeze, Comfortlite 2, Opus, OptiLife, Adams Circuit, etc. I have also noticed that having headgear straps that route across the cheek bones also interfere with side/tummy sleeping (at least for me anyway).
The mask is the toughest part of the treatment to figure out. Everyone has a different face shape and size and throw into that sleeping preferences and everything else and that results in "what works for one person is complete failure for someone else". So hang in there and expeiment with as many masks as it takes to get it all to work.
Best of luck.

President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.
Thank you for the tips Dreamstalker. I'm really just a tired mess right now. The mirage swift started out great, but then after not sleeping for so long, I guess anything would be an improvement.
I'll check out the masks you recommended next week when I talk to the DME.
wow sneezing hurts, my nose is so sore. I cant believe it.

I know this is a silly question but could it be that your pillows are in backwards & the air is blowing down on your upper lip? This is a common mistake when some people first try this system. (The line of holes in the pillow face out away from your face.) Also if it is in backwards it will really
tear up the nose.

Now I am confused, when you say the exhaust holes in the pillows are blowing up. They should be pointing downward away from your face. I have better luck just letting the hose hang instead of using the velcro. There shouldn't be any leaks on the ends if it is put together right. Hang in there & it will get better.

I have used that mask a long time, and leakage wasn't a problem unless I tightened the straps to tight, that yes will cause a sore nose. there is a time period where it takes your skin tissues to get used to this new culprit invading your body, Use the AYR gel before inserting the pillows, and like I said overtightening causes this mask to leak besides being uncomfortable, the main complaint of this mask is noise, the up side it vents real well so most don't have rain out problems. don't jump ship yet give it a couple more weeks, your nose will feel better.

If you already have a sore nose you may want to keep the med. pillows handy. You will know if the larges are too large, because they will irritate your nose even more. I have been told that one should use the smaller
as long as you can get a good seal & the base doesn't try to enter the nose.
I am sure someone will correct me if I am mistaken. It takes a few days for the nose to get acustomed to the pillows being in there.
Good Luck Tonight,
Ron

odawa,
I don't have an answer or a suggestion, but the title of your post reminded me about an OLD song (which many of us probably remember).
Here's the lyrics:
Den (how times have changed since then.....)
TOSSIN AND TURNIN
(Ritchie Adams / René Malou)
Walter "Bunny" Sigler
Bobby Lewis
Baby, Baby,
You did something to me...
I couldn't sleep at all last night
Just a thinking of you..
Baby things weren't right
Well I was tossin and turning
Turning and tossin
Toss and turn all night..
I kicked the blankets on the floor,
Turned my pillow upside down...
I never never did before..
Because I was tossin and turning
Turning and tossin
Toss and turn all night..
Jumped out of bed..
Turned on the light,
Pulled down the shade
Went to the kitchen for a bite..
Rolled up the shade,
Turned off the light,
I jumped back into bed
It was the middle of the night...
The clock downstairs was striking 4
Couldn't get you off my mind...
I heard the milkman at the door..
Cause I was tossin and turning
Turning and tossin
Toss and turn all night..
Jumped out of bed..
Turned on the light,
Pulled down the shade
Went to the kitchen for a bite..

Turned off the light,

Hi Odawa....The Swift should really not be venting up. One of the reasons I didn't care for the Swift is that it vents downward and would blow on my arm at night. Please have another look at it. It is really a bigger pain when you have that piece in wrong. I know because that is the way I put it in one night when I first got mine.
I hope you get things worked out.

I found a pic for you. If you look closely you can see that the vent is facing outward, not inward. When it faces outward it vents down.
