New ResMed prototype unveiled

Post by JimW » Sat Feb 10, 2007 11:05 pm

As I know that we all like to be informed of the latest developments in xPAP technology, I thought all would be interested in seeing this photograph of a carefully guarded ResMed prototype.

Jim,

Is the death star a political statement regarding the empire? I don't know how I'd strap that thing on my head!

Wonder if there's a problem with browser settings? Works fine at this end - and intended to be a little jab at attitudes that some think they notice on the board.

What, pray-tell, does that mean?

I believe there's an attempt to draw a parallel with the evil empire and ResMed. Darth Vader choked people, but they do the opposite.... Who knows.

If you want to have something take over your bedroom, I suggest you invest in an XPAP.

My educated guess is that Jim is parodying the attitudes towards Resmed with the parent post & linked image.

I interpret it as his way of protesting the undercurrent of attitudes towards Resmed that paint them as the 'evil empire' & so the image of their next 'prototype' cpap was the link to the 'death star' image.

Reason I believe this to be the case is that he is an S8 user & as far as I can tell is a satisfied one (hence he doesn't share the bias). Also I believe Jim may have been looking for S8 related info & came across many of the worst of the anti Resmed 'evil empire' posts & thus they were very much on his mind when he started this thread.

Jim - is this on target ?

Cheers

DSM

Ok, so someone is only not biased against ResMed if they use a ResMed machine?

Will the final product be 60% larger, to reflect the Resmerge Internet Pricing Policy? Probably, and the increase will probably be hot air, instead of better service. Jim
