I would be returning the machine....what you see happening isn't normal...we don't know what is causing it and we can't fix it either.. I returned a Respironics machine for doing this very thing.
just for my own education, are you saying that because of these "breaks" showing up, we can't trust the data that oscar is presenting?
The breaks aren't normal at all. Anytime a machine does stuff that isn't normal or wonky I always hesitate to put much trust in the data shown. It's probably okay but I can't prove it and when I can't prove something.....I don't trust it.
I would maybe try apap mode and see if the multiple sessions are still present but I wouldn't be holding my breath that resolves the issue.
We could maybe try using ResScan but I suspect it will show the same thing. I don't think it is an OSCAR bug.
A test could be done....an awake test...use the machine for a couple of hours while reading or watching TV and then look at the data for those couple of hours and see if there are any multiple sessions and if someone is awake they would know if the machine just up and stopped blowing.
I think it is a bug in the machine's internal something somewhere.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

Are you using the same SD card in both machines? might be a bad card.
Makes sense to me too.
I would even try a new profile in OSCAR, and also check whatever it is that is doing the card reading: I have to insert my card into a USB thingy, and would change it if got this crazy data. If your computer has an SD card reader of its own I'd get a usb reader. If not: new USB reader.
This data is simply too crazy.
New SD card
New profile
New way of getting data from card to computer
Did you get a new power supply when you had the machine replaced?

Yes I am using the same SD card. But the card is not faulty. Reading on the card agrees with MyAir.

MyAir shows you the number of session?

Yes, it refers to them as "mask on/off events".

Unlike the makers of phones and computers,
Resmed tries to get it right--right off the bat.
Don't you wish everybody cared like that?
Apples and oranges.
How?
All consumer products.
The simple answer. Computers and phones need updates to protect them from hackers. Not too many hackers want to hack your cpap, so...

Do not regret growing older. It is a privilege denied to many...

If you encountered the same problem on a different machine, the problem is likely the SD Card.
The "reading on the card" agreeing with MyAir, does not validate the integrity on the card. The display issues appear in the detail data, which isn't used to re-calculate the summary totals.

I have tried multiple times to attach images without success.
Because you keep ignoring how to post images properly.
The image posting problem was addressed *numerous* times, and yes you did completely ignore it, and left the thread after ignoring the advice.
Advice given to you, from your other topics, on posting images, including links, that you *completely ignored*:
palerider wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 6:07 pm
Once again, you haven't attached anything.
use imgur.com and read the pinned posts, including the ones that tell you that forum attachments *DO NOT WORK*
Posting multiple threads about the same thing is annoying.
chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 9:45 pm
The forum is free. The attachment stub has not worked for some time.
We do not expect it to be fixed--the forum is free.
Use an imaging host, like Imgur.

And I told you to READ THE PINNED POSTS.
AND to use imgur.com
palerider wrote: ↑Fri May 19, 2023 6:05 pm
Since you didn't attach anything to the post (use imgur.com) all we can do is say "eh?"

I was just wondering what causes gaps in data logging during therapy hours. I have been trying get to the bottom of the problem for the last three months without success. The problem I am having is not that common. That is why a lot of people think it is due to clock setting. But I am convinced it is not. If someone in Resmed sits down and analyzes the data from my machine, an answer is likely to be found.
Have you tried reformatting your SD card? Trying a different SD card? Are you importing files properly? Updating your computer's software? A different computer?

Never mind my post - I didn't see these potential issues had already been discussed.

FWIW....which I admit isn't proof of anything....all of the above ideas I did try with the Respironics machine that was doing the multiple session thing without any success. Remember I had one of those machines in my own personal possession and it did indeed go back to supplier and I was issued a new machine that didn't have that problem.
Is the ResMed similarly affected??? Maybe and all ideas are sure worth trying but I wouldn't be holding my breath here.
Sometimes machines are just plain buggy. Now I admit it sure isn't common but sure isn't impossible for it to be the machine either. Crap does happen.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

My provider did change my machine once already. The problem with the first machine has become worse with the replacement. The break is not due to power outage because in that case each break would be followed by a ramp. Note that there is a ramp when we turn off the machine to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Is here a "sticky" on how actually to use imgur? I don't want to download it until I know how it works.
Once, I figured out how to post a picture direct from windows I think, but I have forgotten. Perhaps not? Is there a way to post a picture directly from windows?

No. Windows is on your computer, and the forum has no room for images from "home".
You have to use the cloud--like on an image hosting service.
Several are free--just do some reading.
I know it's a pain in the butt, but you either spend time--or money.

unfortunately, no there isn't a sticky.
imgur isn't software, it's a website where you upload your oscar chart images. it stays there and you link to it from here.
please let me know if what i just said is gibberish and i'll try to explain it better.

It's a web page, you don't download it.
Get OSCAR
Accounts to put on the foe list: dataq1, clownbell, gearchange, lynninnj, mper!?, DreamDiver, Geer1, almostadoctor, sleepgeek, ajack, stom, mogy, D.H., They often post misleading, timewasting stuff.
