I guess I could try the magic uploaded and free 1 month service. Food for thought.Respirator99 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 3:42 amSleepHQ is also free but data is only retained for 30 days. The paid service gives you access to the forums, various discounts, unlimited data etc. Whether it's good value is a personal judgement.

There's no real need for the magic uploader - it's an expensive gadget, and it's tied to SleepHQ. At least if you use a wifi card you have the option of using it with SleepHQ, Oscar or anything else that comes along.Slobdiddy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 10:41 pmI guess I could try the magic uploaded and free 1 month service. But I agree with the earlier poster who said that once you've got your treatment dialled in you only occasionally look at the detailed stuff. I imagine most of us oldtimers upload to Oscar and/or SleepHQ maybe once a week and only look in detail if there was something "off" during the night.

* Download Oscar
* Oscar help
* An alternative to Oscar - try SleepHQ
I have no medical training or qualifications. Take my advice for what it's worth.

You can't use the magic uploader with the free service.
If you can get your data to a cloud service, you can get it to local storage. You don't want it on cloud storage. The data isn't simply moved from the WiFi card, it is synchronized, this means going through all existing data and moving only data that hasn't been uploaded, this will be painfully slow.Slobdiddy wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 10:22 pmthis means that every room is like Faraday cage and I have to have wired access points all around the house. Long story short - my home-office is no where near my bed room and I need to somehow get the contents of the card onto my network or DropBox. If there’s a way to do this without creating a second network then Im all ears. I think I can run two networks on a PC by having one wired and one wireless but I need to work this out. If it’s easy to upload to Dropbox (and Oscar can read Dropbox?) then one network if fine.

No doubt, first-hand experience is much more valid than stories on the internet. As a frequent traveler I've had quite the opposite experience from you. I've been surprised and pleased to open MyAir and see results all over the world with just a few exceptions - Shanghai and Hydrabad come to mind, but I'm sure there are more.Starling wrote: ↑Wed Mar 01, 2023 10:08 pmIf you are talking about my post, first it is « her » French version
Then, it does depend on the country. Most of the time it doesn’t transmit out of Europe, but it sometimes does. I think it was Singapore (or India? One of the two but not both) were I recently saw the cellular signal not being crossed off. I am currently in Dubai, and there is no transmission.
Point is : out of your own country (or rather the machine’s country), you have a very good chance it won’t transmit but it’s not 100%. I haven’t been keeping a detailed list (I don’t really care, as I am usually away only for a week before going back home where it can transmit the week’s data). But I do travel A LOT (at least one long haul flight a month - and in fact 3 in February) so I think my experience is quite valid.
Also good to note that travelling with the AS11 is really easy (much better than my old DS1!!).
We know there are differences in the devices as evidenced by the modem type listed on the serial number placard. Those could certainly contribute to the varying experiences. I also wonder if the way the DME/sleep center sets up the devices for us makes it more or less likely to work while traveling. If the devices are truly the same then it comes down to a configuration issue.

The DME has no more access to Configuration Items on ResMeds than we do when going into Clinician Mode. Cellular modem configuration is also not a device or e-sim configuration item.loggerhead12 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 02, 2023 8:44 amI also wonder if the way the DME/sleep center sets up the devices for us makes it more or less likely to work while traveling. Country-by-country access for m2m/IoT devices is typically done through the portal provided by m2m/IoT carrier. Air10 devices have a lot more access to countries because they were (relatively) early players in the m2m market. There has been a lot of movement and maturity in the m2m industry since the Air10s were released. The Air11s appear to have a lot more countries it doesn't work within. This is consistent with the greater ability to configure and more features avail in newer m2m devices and carrier services.
