There was a tent pitched under the overpass across the street a couple days ago.
There are a couple campers parked on the street nearby.
People living in some--it's cold enough, maybe I should call the police
and ask them to do a welfare check.
There is either "no room at the inn"--or no "fun" allowed at the shelters.
I don’t know if you got any of those tornadoes but if that’s the case an underpass is a safe spot.

I would imagine if they have been there for several days that changes the equation a bit.

There are now large numbers of folks who live full time in their rigs and if I could I would also and it has nothing to do with vacancies or drugs.

No plates on the camper--and it freezes every night.
Homeless--likely not local.

They got to be tweaking.

Why do you gas[sic] what I think?
I couldn't care less what you think.

What I care about is you doing like Granny says, thinking this is some sort of book club where everybody (doesn't) want to hear your ignorant opinions on everything.

If you can't handle people correcting your nonsense, then either leave, or stop posting your nonsense.

You allege that you're hear to learn, then LEARN, and stop posting things that are wrong, AND MISLEADING to new people.

then insist that I read and reply to everyone's posts.
Where did you get that nonsense? I'd much rather you STOP replying to everyone's posts, because then there's less to be corrected. READ Pugsy's, READ Robysue's, try to understand Rubicon's, just stop offering "advice" to people.

Dude....MOVE ON.
I'd love to, as soon as you stop nattering on incessantly. Go find another book club, or maybe go over to apneaboard.com, they'll protect your delicate feelings.

Too many people getting killed these days from "welfare checks" from the police.

That'd be safer for the people you're trying to help.

Or maybe call the fire dept, if the SA can't help.

I genuinely wished you well and a Merry Christmas when you got confused and thought I didn’t have the right to ask a newbie to check pms where I offered a free mask. I am here learning-like the time I asked directly three different ways which data point to use for setting low pressure and you waged war. A day later someone asked and you jumped right in with an answer. Maybe I will just create a new screen name and watch you fall all over yourself to help me.

Your fragile male ego was so triggered that it’s no longer enough to attack me when you see my posts but you suggest to others they ignore me? lol Yeah I dont gas. No (sic). I dont give a shit.

I watch people ask questions and your reading comprehension is so poor that you accuse them of stating something as a fact. You cause more disruption than any other poster with your hostile attacks. You do the same to me. In fact I think I am on your friends list so you don’t have to look hard to know where to attack.

I meant what I said. I hope you have a nice Christmas.
All your mean spiritedness says far more about you than it does me.

Now move on.

Edited to remove the most uncharitable remarks.

Enough you two.

Get back on topic please or zip the lips and bind the fingertips.

Any more of this banter will find the posts deleted as off topic.

Thank you.

I still wear a mask in public buildings, but during this weather that feels really cold to us Californians (mid 30's!) I don't rip it off the minute I go outside. I find it kind of nice keeping my face and breath warm. Cold air can be an asthma trigger for me, so the mask helps that too.

And like Pale Rider (knock wood) I haven't had Covid, or flu, or RSV, or even a cold since the pandemic started. I'd like to keep it that way.

On the other hand, as you age and grow in wisdom, you may come to the realization that those grannies were right. :D
It's as I aged, and hopefully grew in wisdom, that I realized how wrong they were. I know that you're being lighthearted/tongue in cheek here, so I'll spare you the gory details.

Do not regret growing older. It is a privilege denied to many...

It takes less time to do a thing right than to explain why you did it wrong.
