He even LOOKS like a muskrat.
My dad used to trap muskrats.
I think he got a couple bucks per skin.
He stretched the hides on a gadget that looked a lot like a slacks creaser.

Richard P. Feynman, in the conclusion to his report on the shuttle Challenger accident:
For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled.

And now here is my secret, a very simple secret; it is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.

Perception is to profit as reality is to survival.

Major blunder over there in REM identification.

We all need both long-term and short-term goals in life.

I only saw their dead, empty pelts.
Dad did the dirty work outside, then brought them indoors to dry out.
Nice fur.

Re: SleepHQ--Any New Constructive Suggestions for Them?
Well, I'm on my absolutely best behavior, but in what amounts to an opinion, the counter-argument I've received is
My usual response isI've sat behind a computer and watched these same charts stream in, 6 patients a time, 10 hours a night for 12 years.
but I'm avoiding that.If someone holds up an orange, and a hundred times you call it an apple, does that make it an orange?
And if I walk up and say "nice-looking orange" once, who's correct?
I think that board is going to be just like AB-- they can't stand being corrected and/or admitting mistakes.
Anyway, I'm only there for the free 14 days.
BTW are you going to post all the suggestions from this thread over there?

And if this guy claims to be watching 6 patients a night, when should I hit him with
My thought is it should be part of my exit interview.B-7 Sleep Technicians and Technologists
The AASM recommends a patient to technologist ratio of 2:1 under usual circumstances for attended PSG at facilities. Facilities must maintain appropriately trained, supervised, and, where required by law, licensed personnel.

Re: SleepHQ--Any New Constructive Suggestions for Them?
No, sir. This thread was to provide the opportunity for constructive, serious suggestions from this community while simultaneously proving we didn't have any. It was about forum focus.

There are good sleep-study techs out there who don't think their expertise makes them infallible, but the ones who know very little (just enough to be dangerous) yet set out to be board-saviors and all-knowing medical authorities on all things sleep in order to stroke their own ego can do a lot of damage. Thanks for all you've done on several boards to help prevent the proliferation of the hey-I'm-a-sleep-tech-who-has-arrived-to-take-over-this-board attempters.
I'm sure you can counter bad info while letting them live. Not easy. But I've seen you do it countless times. The trick may be not to let them get to you as you keep the language below PG-13 for all the kids at the show.

That said, go get 'em like it's playoffs all season!

Interestingly, I don't see Nick Dunn ("Uncle Nicko") in the BRPT database. That's a scab that needs to be picked.
