That's above my pay grade, I just test and try to break things... (couldn't break the Eclipse).

Re: pressure range questions
Well sort of I guess.
Beta tester....have to keep secrets from friends and aren't privy to any real details and have to field questions like "when will it be out" when we have no clue and I suspect people secretly think we know more than we really do know but we don't.

All the headaches and no money....not much of a "dream job" when you really get down to the nitty gritty details.
I did check my crystal ball this morning though and it predicted you will really like the Eclipse but it couldn't give me a date for public release yet. All it says is "sometime in the fall" which can be anywhere from late Sept to early December.
From past history though....it always has taken longer than anticipated or hoped.
I remember having to wait for 2 years from when I first heard and saw a little bit about the Bleep until I actually got my grubby little hands on it....2 years and it still wasn't ready for public release. A few months is nothing. Not much consolation for those short on patience though.

Re: pressure range questions
as a beta tester, do you have to fill out some sort of questionnaire?

Not really a special questionnaire but sometimes requests for follow up are made and of course we do have to sign a NDA promising to keep secrets.

Re: pressure range questions
Gday! (Good enough I suppose.)
After three days on the N30 I went back to the Bleep. Although the numbers are low, I woke up with a headache that I haven't had in three days.
I have been wearing my apple watch to bed most nights and think I finally have it set to where it tracks o2 levels. I know it is far from accurate because if watch isn't positioned well, it doesn't get a good reading. I never know where my hands will be when I sleep. That said, I have been trying to line it up with my heart rate data as well. When I see big swings of one there is usually a swing with the other.
https://sleephq.com/public/884bead5-d8d ... fa36c88b85
I fiddled with the time setting so it would be easier to match real time on the chart with real time on my apple health info. I stretched out with the mask on earlier in the day (N30) and thought i might doze but just posed here.I mentioned on another thread I do the math and see I had 15 events all night. I notice too that the time spent in apnea was over 3 minutes. The night before I got in late from airport run and had 9 events and just over 2 minutes in apnea. https://sleephq.com/public/11eb1b3c-6ed ... f562625d3b My spectacular feeling Friday/Saturday involved less than 1 minute in apnea.
I have been ordering N30 replacements for a few weeks now and have a total of 5 once the others get here. I *think that really is the optimal mask for me and despite some of the leaks that might occasionally wake me, I would take that over the diminishing o2 saturation and morning headaches. I hate taking pain meds but its pretty crushing right now.
That said, I am still keeping an open mind and tweaking some things to try to make the Bleep work. Last night I raised hose temp and had no rainout. So there's that. I know this will change come fall and winter without blasting the AC.I really want to potentially switch to the Bleep when the newer version comes out but until then at least I know that I have my N30.
Thanks for letting me share my thoughts on time spent in apnea and my mask evolution.

Re: pressure range questions
I think I have the pressure ranges set now. Last night was a good night with 6 interruptions total and I believe some of the ones shown are not real. https://sleephq.com/public/5ebe5fca-4b4 ... b1819054ed
The N30 seems to leak a fair bit at times. It looks like that might have woken me up at the first break. I see spikes just ahead of the 2nd and 3rd breaks by maybe 10 minutes or so. No telling if it just takes me that long to get out of bed or what.
Sunday I had a pretty good sleep and the leaks were all throughout the night. https://sleephq.com/public/a68cb5cd-077 ... c31aa94b45 So I am thinking the leaks in and of itself are not necessarily waking me all the time and the low level leaks maybe not at all such as sunday.
So I am wondering-are the leaks really significant in the long run if I am getting good sleep with few events?
Still in all I am happy and find that replacing the headgear daily is working the best to reduce leaks. (wash, dry, repeat.)

Re: pressure range questions
So, I started this string way back when I started and figured I would follow up here.
I just went for my 3 month follow up the other day and we are both pleased with the progress. Here is the trend from the last 30 days. https://sleephq.com/public/1d534cec-190 ... beb2c73b32
After following along with the aerophagia thread for some time and with occasional reflux issues, it has had me thinking. I have my minimum set at 7 and most nights I have a median pressure in the low 7s, sometimes just a hair over 7. So last night I decided to dip it down to 6.8. https://sleephq.com/public/3b51df90-eff ... 9546647b8a The numbers still look acceptable and I will be keeping it at this level for a few days to see how it turns out.
So what I want to know is-do you folks find you get a lot of flatulence with your aerophagia?
Also, I know that a certain number of centrals is normal. Still, on a purely intellectual level, I find them troubling. I realize much of this stems from losing two parents (one recently) to heart attack during the wee early hours in bed. There was discussion on another thread about how CA may get worse with higher pressures (can someone confirm?). These issues laid out here are what motivated me to back the pressures down a bit.
I have other diagnoses that might explain some of the other issues but I wanted to see if any of you guys in the know have any input.
Thanks.

Re: pressure range questions
Well yeah...with SOME PEOPLE higher pressures can trigger centrals but I have seen people develop too many centrals with as little as 5 cm cpap pressure. Just because something CAN potentially happen to SOME people doesn't mean that it will happen to anyone.
We have people using pressures in the high teens and even 20s and they don't get a worrisome number of centrals.
A central apnea by itself isn't the big bad boogeyman that people are so afraid of and go into panic mode when they see 5 centrals flagged over an 8 hour night. Sleep onset centrals are normal for one thing....hold your breath for 15 seconds once an hour for 8 hour night...that's essentially what it is like to have a 15 second central apnea...either a real asleep or half asleep or full awake cessation of breathing....we are going to handle it nicely and it's not going to cause a problem. Centrals aren't a problem unless they cause a problem...either desats or numerous sleep disruptions.

That was just a part of why I wanted to knock the pressures down a bit though. Nothing radical going from 7 to 6.8.
Still curious about the flatulence and reflux effects.

Re: pressure range questions
Aerophagia happens when air gets into your stomach, and hence into the digestive system.
There are two ways the body tends to get rid of excess air/gas in the digestive system. One is flatulence and one is burping.
Yes, when my aerophagia is acting up, I tend to fart more than usual. Some people tend to have more burps.
