I was wide-awake and just could not get back to sleep.

but last night I prob should've dropped a decongestant.
Has there been a correlation between decongestion use and insomnia.

A lot of decongestions, especially the pills can contribute to insomnia.
lol this is why I don't take pharmaceuticals. Some of them make me jittery and nervous (like the tylenol with codeine I got with a tooth extraction a few years ago.)

I am really hoping something on the alternative/less invasive scale will help. I mean, I can almost reliably pluck my eyebrows and sneeze and sneezes are natures best way to clear the old sinuses. I used a nasal spray similar to a saline spray last night and got a few good sneezes after it. The main thing for me was I slept a lot more hours, comfortably. ALSO I used a vicks nasal inhaler dohiggy. Looks like a chapstick with a round top for sticking at your nose and inhaling the menthol. Cheesy and weak but it worked.

The numbers look decent but still a lot more in the flow limits and leakage area. I am not aware of my mouth popping open like I was the night before. THAT was the biggest reason for lack of sleep.

Appreciate the input.

The soft setting seems to be helping but I will hold out on judgement a few more days.

I definitely feel more comfy tho the problem isn’t gone completely.

I will take it though.

The leaks are well below ResMed's 24 L/min "redline". So if those leaks are not waking you up and if you are not waking up with a painfully dry nose or mouth, I'd say you don't need to worry too much about them.

On the other hand, you turned the machine off and back on four different times. None of these off/on places seem particularly associated with any of the large links. But that's still several wakes during the night, and that can indicate problems with either getting to sleep or staying asleep.

Did you do anything but doze during the first session (10:12--10:40 Eastern time)? Also did you do anything but dose in the last session (6:22-6:55 Eastern time)?

The other sessions are all well over 90 minutes long and so you most likely were waking up at the end of sleep cycles. Do you remember these wakes?

Yes, there are still some flow limitations driving the pressure increases, but it looks like your body is learning to sleep through these and let the machine do its thing to help prop your airway open better.

In other words, there may (or may not) be enough wakes to have posed problems with sleep continuity, but it does look like you got some quality sleep on paper between 10:45 and 6:15 (Eastern time). In other words, it looks to me like you probably got somewhere between 7 and 7.5 hours of pretty good sleep (on paper).

How did you feel when you first woke up this morning?
