The question about increasing the pressure to offset using EPR…..does it happen? Yes but not always is it something that has to be done.
It all depends on how close the minimum pressure (or Fixed) happens to be to the pressure where below that pressure the airway tissues can collapse and the drop using EPR takes a person below that line.
You may or may not need to compensate for the drop. It all depends on what might happen when there is a drop using exhale relief.

From the looks of things with your pressures already up there a bit I have my doubts that you would need to compensate much….if any.

I suspect that the bulk of your flagged events are most likely post arousal flags anyway
A symptom of poor sleep more than the cause of the poor sleep kind of thing.
I really wish you would do the 2 minute segment thing that Rubicon mentioned and share or maybe use sleephq so we could do the zooming in ourselves.

I'm still in the military so I get a full physical exam and bloodwork annually.
This isn’t a good answer to Julie’s question. I spent 24 years in the military and you need to know specifics about your annual physical.

For instance, your hemoglobin and iron levels might be low, based on a CBC. Or other things. Do you have access to the reports and what your levels are vs. what normal levels should be? If not, you need to. I have access to EVERY test my doctor orders and I can see them before I even go back to the doctor to get the results. If you can’t see the results yourself, you may not have a full picture — and there may be surprises.

I do have SleepHQ. Can you tell me how to share that?

Oscar: I'm not sure what the two-minute view is, but I can look and see what I can do.

I'm also a doctor (a veterinarian) so I review all of my own bloodwork and tests after they're done. The only thing out of normal is mildly elevated LDL (cholesterol). My mother passed away from leukemia after several years of low hemoglobin and RBCs, and eventually a pancytopenia, so I watch those closely.

What else do you want to know?

I use the N-20 and I had problems with leaks at first. I moved down to the smaller frame and cushion and it cleared the problem right up. Now I'm not a small woman and I never would have thought to try the smaller size until someone suggested it, turns out to be exactly what I needed. The dme told me I needed a medium size and I trusted them to get that stuff right.

Interesting question. None of those, but I did spend two months living and working in tents a few short miles up the road from a rubber plantation in Liberia. Woke up to the smell of burning rubber every, and actually all day. The air was a bit hazy much of the time, to me at least. There were some burn pits as well but I wasn't the one doing them so I'm not really sure how often--I do recall our safety people saying they did them when the wind was blowing away from camp, if that's worth anything, and I think they stopped after a few rounds over exposure concerns.

zoom in (either by clicking and dragging with a mouse, or by using the arrow keys, up and down zooms in and out, left and right moves sideways) until there's a two minute segment showing on the screen.

Hey, I really appreciate the question and I'm happy to comply, but how precisely do I save that info as an image? I'm new to this :)

Also, which two minutes do you want? Or, how do you want me to pick the two minutes?

I don't know which 2 minutes previous people were asking for.

As far as screenshots and stuff, you can hit F12 (you might need to use 'function-f12' if on a notebook. or click the menu view/take screenshot'. More details here: wiki/index.php/Oscar:organize

Somebody please give this guy a link to my usual videos that show how to zoom in using OSCAR.
I had to have my laptop worked on so I don’t have access to all my usual links.

I'm not having any trouble zooming in and out--I can and have been doing that to look closer at the data myself.

The questions are:

-Which two minutes (or multiple two minute blocks) do you want to see?

-It sounds like I just print screen and save the image, so I can do that

-You mentioned getting access to SleepHQ--I have my data in that program--how do I open it up so you can see it and play with the data, zooming in and out?

THIS I can help with.

Open up the day in question. There is a bar across the top with the date. To the right of that click the three little dots and then click share page. It will produce a link which you touch and I believe it automatically copies it. Then paste it here. Do this for any date you wish to share.

All of them.

What needs to be done is to try to determine the number of interruptions to sleep and time spent awake. CPAP software can only identify disturbances with associated respiratory events, but if sleep is disrupted due to non-respiratory causes, then the AHI you're looking at may far underestimate the problem. Admittedly, this might not be completely scientific, but it's all you have to work with.

In uninterrupted sleep, the SkyLab view which you posted should be nearly a solid black bar. All that variability in there suggests the issue is sleep continuity, which may not necessarily be caused by sleep-disordered breathing.

So anyway, you need to go through each night and count up sleep disruptions and see what you got. If it varies substantially from AHI, then time to change approach.

Pick some of the events you have, and show us a minute or two before the event, so move the flagged event to close to the right side of the screen.
