3BMedical Luna II

I just received a new 3B Medical Luna II auto set CPAP machine. I searched and cannot find any post on it since 2020, which were very negative. Has this machine been improved since then_ If it is so bad what is bad about it_

Haven't heard anything good about it at all though.

I have only had my 3BMedical Luna II auto set CPAP fir a few days, but it is much quieter and easier to operate and make changes than my old Resmed System One CPAP machine. I like it. Plus my Resmed ws recalled and I gave up waiting for them to replace it. But I expect that is what Phillips is hoping everyone will do. The Luna II is readily available.

Your 'Resmed" wasn't recalled, your Phillips Respironics was... Resmed has the best machines, Phillips now the worst.

ResMed didn't make the System One....Philips Respironics did and ResMed didn't have a recall...Philips Respironics did.
Correcting this just in case someone might read this and not realize that you named the wrong manufacturer and get the wrong idea about ResMed machines.

To repeat: Philips-Respironics = bad.
Resmed = very good.
Expensive, but worth it.
Cutting corners on health or safety is always a bad idea.

Sorry about that guys, but isn't three replies to my error a little over kill.
You might as well crucify me. You do have the nails?
Do you guys have Resmed stock or work there?

You might be surprised to learn that a lot of people don't read all the replies before they respond and never see that an error was corrected. They read the original post and immediately hit the reply button and don't see what someone else might have said.

You might also be surprised to learn that often it doesn't matter if what someone else has said that a person is going to go ahead and offer their opinion about something despite the fact that their opinion is essentially stated by someone else prior to their post.

In the case of my post essentially stating what Julie said....when I started my reply Julie's reply wasn't there for me to see.
Then I had to step away from the computer for a few minutes and when I came back and completed my reply I didn't see Julie's reply and so my post got posted about 12 minutes after her reply.

And no....I doubt seriously if any of us have stock in ResMed.
I think that most people here are on the ResMed band wagon because we truly and sincerely believe it is a better product and suits our own needs the best.
Comprehensiveness and easily available detailed data tops the list for most of us.

You know why a lot of DMEs decided to get on the band wagon of the other brands...
Wholesale price....the Luna and other Chinese knock off similar brands cost about 1/3 wholesale than the ResMed.
Insurance pays by HCPCS billing code and pays the same amount no matter what brand...guess which one they make more money on?
It's not because it is necessarily better at anything....it's because they make the most profit margin.

You are happy with your machine. You are happy with the limited data that you have available. You are happy that your DME supplier got to make more money than they would have made with a ResMed machine.
More power to you. I am happy that you are happy.

But don't go blasting other people because they don't feel the same way as you do. We get to have our opinion also.
