..now a new problem with my new RESMED model 11 ELITE

...now I need help, if anyone has gained some expertise on this new machine....This is my problem....machine is on ready to start therapy, green tiny light on at the big button on the top of the machine.....and when therapy begins it turns white

If I get up to go to the bathroom I press the big button once and machine pauses but continues blowing air at an "almost imperceptible rate.. I come back put mask back on and the machine starts automatically back on, I read that that is a "smarton" option that is set on the machine for when it notices that you begin breathing...I also read that there is a "smartoff" set up so machine stops when no breathing is detected...

Now my problem is in the morning, I slept 8 or 9 hours no problems at all, if I remove the mask the machine continues blowing air, so I press big black button on top of the machine and it stops, but it continues to blow air at an "almost imperceptible rate", a soft blowing of air, also I noticed the symbols on the screen that indicates "cooling of water chamber". All is fine but the problem is that the machine never stops that "almost imperceptible blowing of air". Now out of desperation I unplugged the machine from the wall and THAT stops the "almost imperceptible blowing of air" and the "cooling tank indicator" disappears.

Should I try to check if the "smartoff" function is properly set on? and if so how do I do that.

Normal cool down mode. Resmed machines have all done this for years and years and various models.

Sorry palerider, a simple mistake on my part!!......never, as I thought it was happening, meant to me that the small amount of air blowing was not stopping, but this morning I decided to let that condition run as long as it will take (water tank left in the machine) and to my surprise the air stopped blowing and the symbol "cooling off" disappear after about 20 or 30 minutes later (after I had manually stopped the macine/therapy).
I will inquiere with my doctors office on my next visit if that is because the "smartoff" parameter is not turned on ....I can live with the way my resmed 11 is currently operating.

has nothing to do with SmartStart or SmartStop.....it's cool down mode.

Funny, the way that things sometimes work the way the manual says they will.

I suppose that is possible; but the bullfrog has English as his FIFTH language
and does quite well, even to the extent of crosswords and Scrabble.
His mother spoke NINE languages, and her spelling was hilarious.
It perfectly reflected her heavy accent. Loved that woman!

THAT makes a lot of sense. My machine appears to turn off OK, but I never actually checked to see if it was still slightly on. Will do that tomorrow.

My cat has NOT THE SLIGHTEST interest in my machine, but he REALLY wants to play with my USB charging cables.
