A sticker was in my machine for an app to track my machine, but it said I don’t have a Bluetooth so I can’t use the app. My machine is not new enough for Bluetooth.Pugsy wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 11:03 amWell....without a doctor it's really difficult for sure.
About all we can do is look at the data your machine gathers when you do use it and see if anything is standing out screaming as a potential cause of a problem.
Like excessive pressures or a lot of central apneas happening and maybe (stress the maybe) causing some sort of weird problem.
Get the software and post a typical night detailed report.
No guarantee it will show anything but obviously what you are thinking you are using...you are not using so the software won't mislead us.

and it does sound like hyperventilation to me as well but we need to rule out something weird going on like a truckload of central apneas or something.

Re: Feel horrible on CPAP
You don't need BlueTooth to use the software.
You would need a SD card though which are available at just about anyplace...Walmart has them.
BlueTooth isn't needed and to be honest the app that BlueTooth works with is next to useless anyway.

This model is compatible with the OSCAR software.

Re: Feel horrible on CPAP
I tried to use the machine when I first got it for a few weeks. When I got used to wearing it the symptoms came on. Dizzy, numb, very light headed, anxious, excess uncomfortable energy. I stopped and tried it again weeks later, same thing. Months later tried it again. Same feelings again. Now it’s been months and tried it again since I am chronically exhausted and I have the same exact symptoms and it does not occur at any other time than when I have been on the machine.chunkyfrog wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 2:56 pmHyperventilation--yes, that.
Causes: maybe physical or environmental.
Stress much?
I had hyperventilation from stress--they said it was panic attacks.
They stopped when my horrible boss was replaced.

I found the SD card going to download the software and see if I can figure it out.Pugsy wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 3:05 pmYou don't need BlueTooth to use the software.

Well it looks like my laptop doesn’t have an SD slot. :/Pugsy wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 3:05 pmYou don't need BlueTooth to use the software.

Re: Feel horrible on CPAP
there are converters available so that you plug the usb end into the laptop and the other end has a receptacle for the sd card.
like these-
https://www.amazon.com/s?k=usb+to+sd+ca ... 135dgero_e
i THINK they are available at walmart but don't know as i don't shop there.
good luck!

Re: Feel horrible on CPAP
Something just occurred to me - does your mask have a small area with lots of tiny holes - where CO2 is supposed to leave when you exhale? Any chance you covered it up for any reason? Because if so, you may have been re-breathing CO2 all night and that could definitely cause your symptoms... possibly the holes in your mask were defective and not actually open, punched out as they should be? That happened to others who had to return the masks and/or punched out the holes themselves.

Re: Feel horrible on CPAP
The only holes are the ones at the bottom of the mask where the tubing connects. It’s interesting though I looked up too much C02 and my symptoms are identicalJulie wrote: ↑Sat May 29, 2021 4:28 pmSomething just occurred to me - does your mask have a small area with lots of tiny holes - where CO2 is supposed to leave when you exhale? Re: Feel horrible on CPAP
Exactly - we need to be careful not to cover the vents with bedding or anything else to allow CO2 to escape, tho' a thin sheet apparently shouldn't be a problem.
Re: Feel horrible on CPAP
Hard to say for sure but I do have a lot of blankets and pillows and at times I’m sure my position could be covering the holes.
Re: Feel horrible on CPAP
well, try it without ANY covers. i don't mean when you go to bed at your regular time. just try it for a bit at some other time, like take a nap for a short time.
that might show evidence that the bedding is to blame rather than the mask.
good luck!

Re: Feel horrible on CPAP
Or just arrange them so they'll be unlikely to cover the holes when you sleep - after all, you said your symptoms were horrible, or aren't they?
