Obvious troll resurrection of a zombie thread just to yank chains.
My advice...don't feed the trolls...let the thread fall off the page and back into oblivion.

There was one night I had an odor seemingly coming from my CPAP that was like burning plastic (there was still water in the humidifier tray, so that likely didn't overheat). It hasn't occurred again after that and the machine has shown no indication of any problems. My wife had also complained recently to me of an odor of something similar to mouse urine in her car which I checked shortly after and noticed nothing. While neither of us are exhibiting any symptoms, it made me wonder about Covid and how it can alter ones sense of smell.

You aren’t the only one and I’ve thought I smelled it numerous times. I have a good sense of smell. Asked someone if they smelled it and they didn’t! I did and actually what made me check was in the morning after removing the mask I caught a urine scent in my nostrils. There was still water in the tank and I smelled it. Cleaned it out as usual it mild dish detergent and a good rinsing and it smells fresh. Got my distilled water from Walmart. I deeply inhaled the gallon jug and it DOES NOT smell like urine! If this is common, maybe it’s us breathing through the machines themselves. Are the insides of the actual machine clean? I keep everything clean as I was taught! It’s a mystery

Get a Covid test!
Covid can mess with your sense of smell.
So can a stroke!

For the “Covid” responses! You guys need to stop with the nonsense. If you’ve never experienced this; it doesn’t mean the first person was lying and I have no reason to lie just to hear ignorance. Covid takes Your taste in most people it doesn’t make one particularl item smell like urine! You’re better off saying nothing if you didn’t have an answer!

Stop peeing in your water container.

PS, if you're going to react like that to every *single* answer you don't like here, you'll be happier somewhere else.
