Just pull the mask straight out, do your scratchin and then let the mask reseal itself..... no need to take the whole thing off or turn off the cpap... your headgear shouldn't be on that tight.

You have cats or dogs where animal hair could get into the hose/mask/humidifier chambers?? Turn your machine on and let it run a few minutes before you ever mask up.

Try rubbing that area on your face (nose, etc.) BEFORE you put the mask on. It tends to have a de-sensitizing effect.

I'm with bouziden. I don't have any cats or dogs but shortly after I've put on my mask, my nose starts itching. It's like the air makes me itch. I do like Lyza recommends, just pull the mask out, scratch and let it re-seal. I've never tried rubbing my face like Wulfman suggests so I'll try that tonight, if I remember.

There does not seem to be a whole lot to the filters that came with my Resmed S8. Depending on where you have your machine placed, it could be picking up some particulates from the floor or pets.

I agree with Lyza, try letting your machine run a few minutes.

Me too

I experience the same thing. The itching is on the outside of my nose and not a result of fiber or hair. I don't have a heater or humidifier set up, and don't plan on getting one since I don't have any dry nose issues.

Suspect the itching is a result of the fact that I have air swirling around the nose skin a lot and eventually trips the itch trigger.

That's probably as good an explanation as I've heard.
That's why de-sensitizing that area works for me......cause if I don't, I'll have to shortly.
