Please help me adjust machine settings!

Post by pitman » Sat Nov 28, 2020 8:16 pm

My sleep is not good at all. I wake up 3-5 times a night and do not know why. I do not ever feel rested, at all. Here are the last 3 nights graphs.

Help is greatly appreciated. Many thanks.

The graphs are so tiny - can you make them bigger - hard to read this way.

What machine MODEL do you use? And what mask?

Any idea why you wake up (from your point of view)?

Do you take any meds?

Hi! I use an Resmed Airsense 10 and Resmed FF F20. (See Profile). I do not take any drugs or medications and do not drink alcohol.

I’m waking up 1-2 times to use the restroom. I also wake up feeling bloated, from swallowing air.

I’ll try making the graphs larger.

Hello, pitman. I have some ideas you could try to experiment with your settings, but several quick questions first. Do you know why you don't have any EPR (expiratory pressure relief -- drops your pressure when you exhale)? Do you know why you have such a narrow gap between you minimum and maximum pressures? Do you tend to sleep on your back? And do you tend to tuck your chin down toward your chest?

Do you know why you don't have any EPR (expiratory pressure relief -- drops your pressure when you exhale)? I am unsure why I do not have this setting. Do you know why you have such a narrow gap between you minimum and maximum pressures? To minimize excess pressure to avoid bloating. Do you tend to sleep on your back? Yes And do you tend to tuck your chin down toward your chest? I am unsure.

His answers are inelegantly included in his response, I'll reformat:

you know, this sites premise is to help share knowledge & try to help someone in need with CPAP issues. To be near sleepless for weeks is not fun. To make it worse, a couple of long-time forum wise guys try to be funny at the expense of another, and just look plain stupid from where I am at.

Pitman, this is weird, but I can't see your chart any more. Could you repost it or post a more recent one? I'd like to follow up with you about your settings.

Thank you very much for following up! Here are the graphs. Thanks again I really look forward to your help. I am not getting much sleep at all, it's painful.
