Self Diagnosing need help reading and using machine
Re: Self Diagnosing need help reading and using machine
Don't see any problems except for the leaks. I know its the mask I had to mess with it a couple times during the night. Might not post for awhile since I'm not having any problems. I thank ya'll for the help. My anxiety, depression has kicked in a bit recently. So I'm going to take some time away.
Ya'll have a good day.

Re: Self Diagnosing need help reading and using machine
Any reason to be concerned about these last two nights? I've been sleeping on my back.

No real concerns.
Sleeping on one's back can contribute to apneas. Now that you're sleeping on you back, you may want to increase you minimum pressure. Try 11 cm.

Re: Self Diagnosing need help reading and using machine
I don't care if you sleep standing on your head as long as you can say you sleep.
You probably will need a little more minimum pressure though if on your back. It's quite common....not a big deal unless there was a huge difference in pressure needs when on your back and in your case there doesn't seem to be a huge difference.
I know one person who needs 19 cm when on their back and 9 cm when on their side....don't blame them at all for trying to learn to stay on their side all the time.

Re: Self Diagnosing need help reading and using machine
as others have said, it's no problem.
i, too, will have more osa on my back. but sometimes, due to mild back pain, i will sleep on my back because that's more comfortable.
you want to remember though that you are the beginning of your therapy. this means that you are hyper aware of everything. i know *I* certainly was in the early days. once you get more experience, you'll be better able to shrug it off.
by the way, i want you to know how happy i am that you are keeping your therapy in one thread. SO many people come here and post each little thing separately. makes it hard to keep track of them.
so, please DO post here the questions you have. you'll get good help.

Re: Self Diagnosing need help reading and using machine
I don't check my SD card everyday. I'm sleeping and I only get up once. I'm pleased. I will update at some point. Still going through some things but I'm not giving up on cpap. I think the struggle for the first few nights is worth it. Thank y'all

Probably TMI but that gif reminded of the convo me and husband had earlier. Always tell my husband when he acts up I'll just have to replace him with Sam Elliott. Older men are just set in their ways.

Re: Self Diagnosing need help reading and using machine
Anyone ever have a smell when the humidifier runs out of water during the night? I have the heated hose. I know somewhere it probably says to top of it off each night. Oh well. I've read past post on how some don't clean their cpap hose etc that often. Husband never cleans his stuff but "barks" about me cleaning mine because water and whatnot goes through the hose. I don't think water goes up through the hose. I let him think he's right. I don't know how to describe the smell. Just tend to throw my mask off when it happens.

I've also seen the post about tap water. My grandma uses tap water but she's on city water. We have a well. Not hard water. Taste a lot better than her city water. I know its free but I don't know if I want to go through the build up.
