I installed the new Oscar v1.1.0 version, and now my pressure setting show incorrect? The actual pressure settings are: min. 9 - max. 15 Also, no other machine settings are displayed now.

The file must be very new. Both my Windows 10 security and Norton are warning against installing this.

Hi team

I found 2 items on the CVS export of data.
-The export of detailed data omits the pressure data; i assume that is related to the same known issue of the pressure graph in the UI overview.
- The export of session data shows the AHI as 0 for each session (the export of data as 'daily' does show the right AHI)

EDIT on 4/23
Below a view of sessions imported after update to Oscar 1.1.0;
the selection of sessions export, where i expect every session to be shown, i get an extra line with the summary for the day
Is that a feature or a bug

and thanks again for the awesome work

Depending on your config setting on either (Windows or Norton) they will flag/warn any program install.
I have an additional security with "SureClick" which extracts and runs the program in a -small- virtual machine to check for harmful things. I can assure you that Oscar is safe PROVIDED you download it directly from the development team's location.

Same here. I trusted it and installed anyway.

This is why you should be posting the reason it's been flagged.

There is a *BIG* difference between security software flagging a program because it matches a known malware signature and or:
  • is unknown
  • isn't signed
  • didn't come from an "App Store"

I never doubted the OSCAR installation file. Downloaded it myself from the official link.
Was just mentioning that it got flagged, and I know the exact reason it got flagged (being very new in their virus database).
Norton warned about the installation and later blocked it from running, I have to exclude it manually.

Any idea what is going on? Look at the charts below. they are both from the same night (see date), but have different data. My AHI's have all doubled from my previous charts all the way back to the beginning???

The pressure settings in the first chart are flagged as "guessed." That happens when the day cannot be found in one of the data files (the STR.EDF file). The second chart does include data from str.edf and the pressure settings shown there should be accurate. What are the pressure settings on your machine?

The doubled data is strange. I suggest you try creating a new profile and importing your SD card into the new profile. Let us know how that works.

That makes no sense. Virus programs keep signatures of *viruses*, not of programs.

The point, which you seem unable to comprehend, is that Oscar would not *ever* be in the virus database.

The way antivirus works is by comparing any downloaded files against BOTH a known virus signatures database and a known safe files database (to detect zero-day virus which is not in the known virus signatures database yet). This is one part of the Heuristic analysis used by antivirus programs for a long time instead of relying only on known virus signatures. This means most antivirus will assume the file is potentially unsafe even it does not match any known virus signatures until proven safe (enough people have downloaded and installed it) rather than disregarding any risks immediately if it is not in the known virus signatures.

If a downloaded file is matched with the known virus signatures it gets deleted/quarantined automatically. If there is no match to both known signatures and known safe files (because it is very new in the OSCAR case), it warns you against installing it unless you know it is safe.

So all files get scanned, more so executables, regardless of your belief that it has to be in some database or signatures.

It looks to me like you actually agree, but seem stuck on some semantic "Hu's on first" jag. Maybe we can skip the needle ahead to the next song. The trust we place in the OSCAR team overrules Norton and WIndows. Good to go.
