It's unfortunate that they would not report durations any longer on Respironics machines. Please forgive the furious intensity of my disappointment in Respironics, but for me that's yet another reason not to buy Respironics XPAP.

My AS10 for Her apparently reports durations for hypops. (See image below.) If most users buy the AS10 AutoSense and data are available, it seems to me expressing the data may make it worth the time to mine them.
I'll bet that data is from OSCAR 1.0.1, not 1.1.0! If you look at other days, you'll see that all hypopneas are reported as 10 seconds. Truly amazing that they are all that long, isn't it? That's because, since the Airsense 10 machines do not report hypopnea duration, SH (and the first version of OSCAR) arbitrarily set the duration to 10 seconds. With no basis at all in reality.

Respironics has NEVER reported event duration. There was some sort of "marker" which Respironic never actually explained that was used to loosely approximate event duration in Sleepyhead but it all honesty it was a guess. I suspect that those markers were related to a past data point that Encore used to report which was total time in apnea but that data point hasn't been reported in several years. Respironics quit using it.
But event duration was never actually tallied on the Respironics machines so if not tallied...can't be reported.
The marker system was close but we've seen triple digits in parenthesis for a Respironic event that barely lasted 10 seconds if you eyeball it so it wasn't always a close approximation.

All my AHI numbers for the last 40+ days are now higher than they were with the previous version of Oscar.I thought I was doing so well....... Also, I had one day a few weeks ago that my AHI was genuinely "0.0" and now it shows like there's no data for that day.....I want my '0.0" day back!
I quit out of the program and reopened to and now my AHI numbers are back to where they were before. Also, I got my "0" day back!

icancant: could you update your signature to show what machine you actually have? What does it say on the front cover? I ask because the "AirSense 10 CPAP" does not record detailed data to the SD card, so suspect you are using some other model. That will help us understand what might have happened with your AHI numbers.

Thanks!

He's using the AirSense 10 AutoSet....at least that's what previous reports showed.

Probably couldn't find it in the equipment menu because that model is down in the R section and not the A section with the rest of the AirSense/AirCurve machines.

Wow, you're so right! I've just upgraded. All of my sessions imported flawlessly and actually fixed the other weirdness I wrote about. Thanks for pointing this out. So... maybe some of these data are not useful, maybe this is a back-burner idea, but I still think it deserves merit for the things that are calculable.

Thanks Pugsy! It's been a while since I've owned a Respironics machine. And Encore Pro was a bear to work with.

Thank you I came on to ask what software people were using after what happened with Sleepy head, I didn't even have to ask the question. I appreciate that someone picked up on the need of all CPAP users.

Thanks so much for everyone's hard work. Your dedication to helping everyone is invaluable.

I downloaded the newest version of Oscar 1.1.0 Win64 on Windows 10 computer. The transition seemed pretty flawless, but I did notice the history of my last two machine setting changes were completely discarded. Oscar was reporting settings from last fall as the current settings. I upload my sd card for the last couple of days that weren't already on the computer. It is reporting the correct settings for those two days. Oscar is reporting correct machine settings in the daily view so that is all good, but the statistics are incorrect. I wish I would have noticed what the history said before I updated Oscar. Maybe the error occurred before the Oscar update I just installed. My machine is Resmed Aircurve 10 VAuto.

I am still unable to import about 120 night history into Oscar 1.1.0.

viewtopic.php?p=1349878&sid=26345cedfbf ... 9#p1349862

I let it sit for about an hour while it was "transferring" and the system just hung.

I am using a gaming computer that I built several months ago, so it's not like the hardware can't keep up.

I uninstalled OSCAR and reinstalled it, but it still kept my saved profiles. I was hoping it would delete them completely and I could just import all my nights from night 1, but that wasn't the case.

I've also tried a new profile to no success. It just hangs.

Not sure what else to do.

I think we'll need to see a zip file of your SD card. I'll send you a PM telling you how to create the zip file and how to get it to us.

I think we'll need to see a zipped copy of your SD card to see if we can reproduce the problem. I'll send you a PM on how to create and get a zip of your SD card to us.

Sure--do you mind clarifying what personal and other identifying information appears on the SD card?

The only thing remotely personal on the SD card is the serial number for your machine. That's it. It's useless information unless someone has a master list of which person got so and so serial number machine.
