OSCAR data display question
Hi,
Pls see below graph from OSCAR for my AirCurve 10 ASV settings: Which means pressure ranges would be : (8.2 <= EPAP <= 15) and (8.2 <= IPAP <= 23) ... correct?
If so, then why in the "Statistics" section it shows "Max EPAP = 18.0" ?? (red underlined)
Below pic is the pressure blotter for the same night (3/2/2020), as you can see max EPAP (green line in the graph) never went above "15.0" Is there a bug in the OSCAR?
Thx.

Forgot to include OSCAR version, here it is:

Re: OSCAR data display question
OSCAR has more than one little bug.
Even more bugs when people are using the various ASV kind of machines.
You found one of them...just ignore it.

you may want to report this in the first thread-unknown12345 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 09, 2020 5:48 pmHi,

people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Re: OSCAR data display question
It's already a known bug....no need to report it.

Re: OSCAR data display question
which is prolly why you didn't suggest it!

again, HOW do you keep all this "stuff" in your head?

Re: OSCAR data display question
Curiosity question : From the clinician manual I am deducing that pressure(s) are determined as follows:
(Min EPAP <= EPAP <= Max EPAP) and
[ (Min EPAP <= IPAP <= (Max EPAP + Max PS) ]
correct ?
If so, then how is "Min PS" used by the algorithm?
Thx.

Some heads have room for stuff that other heads disregard.
It's just how we are wired.

Forgot to include pic from manual, see below:
Based on the above pic, then may be I got the IPAP formula wrong!!
If so, is IPAP range calculated as follows?? (note the addition of "Min PS" in red)
[ (Min EPAP + Min PS) <= IPAP <= (Max EPAP + Max PS) ]

Re: OSCAR data display question
In what context? Minimum PS is nothing more than the minimum difference between inhale and exhale.unknown12345 wrote: ↑Wed Mar 11, 2020 1:22 pmCuriosity question : From the clinician manual I am deducing that pressure(s) are determined as follows:

What I have always wondered about (and couldn't ever find out anything) was what in the algorithm tells the machine to vary the PS or increase it from the minimum when a variable PS is available...and why and how much.
I know big PS is needed to deal with central apneas...that rather large burst of PS so that the difference between inhale and exhale is substantial....what about minor differences? I never could find any real documentation as to what, how or how much drives the algorithm to do its job.
