The P10 has one consistent complaint. The headgear. While it is adjustable, spreading the split straps further apart on your head loosens the tension, some find the straps too loose even when the split straps are side by side. There is a clip accessory that helps that, but it isn't a perfect solution. So...
I recently bought a new ResMed N30. These are the nasal cushion version of a P10 pillows mask. But it has a major improvement to the headgear. Both in the material and in the use of a fully adjustable strap buckle. So owners of a P10 can simply buy a new N30 headgear and install it on their P10. Pulling on the end of the material hanging out of the buckle pulls more of the split straps through the buckle to increase tension.
This is a direct fit replacement, no modifications required. If you can replace the headgear on your P10, you can install the N30 headgear onto your P10!

As soon as I saw the N30, I noticed the head strap looked like a drop-in replacement.
The stretching of the P10 straps, and continuous washing to shrink them back was such a PITA, I moved on to the P30i.
I'll pick up a set of the N30 straps, for my P10 to keep as a backup. Thank you.
Wondering if ResMed will replace the existing P10 with these. Makes sense that they do.

I doubt it. They could have done this some time ago and chose not to plus now they have a way for the unhappy with the headgear P10 users to get happy....and it makes ResMed happy to sell them an extra headgear. What would you do if you were wanting to make money?
Doing anything that makes sense to us isn't always what makes sense to the manufacturers.
Remember who the manufacturers consider their "customers" and it isn't us the end user.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

I agree with you.
And sometimes think Manufacturers can be so short sighted. I moved on from the P10 because of the strap issue, instead of the P30i, it could have very easily been the DreamWear.
If I was king of ResMed, and treated the actually customers as customers, I would:
- substitute the N30 straps with the P10
- release a new set of pillows compatible with the N30 frame
- not have named the N30 with a name that's confusingly similar to the N30i

I have one night on the N30. Give me some time and I will do a separate review on it by itself.
While I use the P30i as my main mask, I use the P10 as my travel mask and backup. The N30 may or may not be what replaces the P10, but I can assure you the N30 headgear will be on whichever I use!

Thank you for posting this! Love the P10 - HATE the headgear (would lose the stupid little clips, it loosened up, never quite right). This is great!

I was a huge P10 fan..was my "go to" mask for many months. Now I use the N30...easily my favorite CPAP mask (and I've tried plenty the past 20 years).

You can also get the N30 headgear with an empty N30 mask (no cushions) for around the same price or less on Ebay. That gives you the option of later adding a cushion to try the N30.
