I just got my first CPAP and a P10 mask a week and a half ago. It was all weird at first but I'm getting much more used to it. The only problem I have had for the last few days is the headgear. I thought I destroyed it taking it off when cleaning or something, now I see it's not just me. I bought another P10 headgear and it was delivered an hour ago. I wish I had seen this post before that order, but thank you! This is great news!realshelby wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2020 7:59 amThe P10 has one consistent complaint. The headgear. While it is adjustable, spreading the split straps further apart on your head loosens the tension, some find the straps too loose even when the split straps are side by side. There is a clip accessory that helps that, but it isn't a perfect solution. So...
I recently bought a new ResMed N30. These are the nasal cushion version of a P10 pillows mask. But it has a major improvement to the headgear. Both in the material and in the use of a fully adjustable strap buckle. So owners of a P10 can simply buy a new N30 headgear and install it on their P10. Pulling on the end of the material hanging out of the buckle pulls more of the split straps through the buckle to increase tension. This is a direct fit replacement, no modifications required. If you can replace the headgear on your P10, you can install the N30 headgear onto your P10!

Also tried the N30 headgear on the P10, and it made very little if any difference. Of course, I have to have the thing let out to full length, so duh *smile*.

You can find the N30 headgear on eBay for $9 to $19. I have purchased quite a few CPAP items there.

Re: ResMed P10 Headgear Upgrade from N30
Just throwing my 2 cents in regarding putting the N30 Straps onto the P10.
The N30 strap fits onto the the P10 just fine. I found it slightly awkward to get the button-hole around the attachment because of the plastic aglet on the end, but not overly so.
The feel is the same as the P10, very minimal. And now there are two ways to adjust the size. Adjusting widen/tighten the split, or pulling/loosen the strap through the adjustment tab.
And best of all, we no longer have to keep playing the star stretching/wash to shrink back game.
