If I understand the situation correctly, you ran the machine for about three hours after the water incident. The machine should be OK. You are lucky it didn't short something out.

and you will most likely continue to have ahi for the remainder of your therapy. most of us do. there is the goal of "chasing zero" but it's not realistic. myself, i'm very pleased to have a consistent ahi of less than 1. i have only hit zero four times in my journey. and truthfully, it didn't feel any different than when i hit 1.
that said, i see that your ahi is less than the last chart you posted. this is a good thing. is this last chart typical?
also, you mentioned something about this could've been the best sleep yet. how are you feeling when you wake up? do you feel tired? groggy or foggy?
mostly what we promote here is how you feel after your sleep vs how low your ahi is. it can (and does) often correlate between low ahi and a good sleep.
good luck!

I'll just leave this here:

(08:04:38 PM) ***RLMMG slaps palerider around a bit with a large trout
(08:13:15 PM) ***RLMMG slaps palerider around a bit with a large trout

(08:22:22 PM) RLMMG: OK so I came to learn more and no one is here
(08:44:25 PM) RLMMG: and I stayed for a while
(08:53:49 PM) RLMMG: Well I was here long enough want to offer something useful feel free to if not than stop bitching
apparently some dim bulbs don't understand the concept of other people walking away from the keyboard a bit... or how to spell properly, or that I haven't posted anything to their unpleasant little selves since they expressed the desire to do without my help yesterday morning.
"they" say 'it takes all kinds', but, does it really have to?

Can we accept the fact that one company's registered trademark is often used-

The really crucial word is the BRAND NAME.

with all respect, you aren't judging him correctly. you may find over time that he's actually here to help. but i can't change your and won't try. only you can do that.RLMMG wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2019 6:47 pmCouldn't agree morechunkyfrog wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2019 1:43 pmPR, honey; people use the wrong terminology because the manufacturers WANT them to,

to more effectively "ignore" him, you can put him on your foe list. you won't see his posts unless someone quotes him in theirs. go to where you see his name shaded in blue, like under his avatar. hover the mouse over his name, left click and follow the directions.
good luck!

I guess I was hoping for an ahi of zero after doing all this but you are right a good sleep is something I been needing and get this under control raising it to 11 really helped to. When you look at the charts prior was so choppy and this was a lot better.
Also I really do appreciate the helpful opinions. This is the first Christmas I am having without my father and my children without their Grandfather and just can't put up with negative nastiness. I don't understand some people and truly don't have time for it. I tried but some people just aren't worth it. I believe in if you don't have nothing nice to say don't say nothing at all but it doesn't mean you need to accept being mistreated either. If someone needs to use an avatar of a devil its probably fits

Jim actually I feel the 11 worked very well Thank you for your inputjim22 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 22, 2019 7:41 pmI'm not sure what went on around midnight, maybe you were actually awake. Your data other than that doesnt look too bad. If you are comfortable raising the starting pressure you might try 11. You could raise it a little each day for a few days. How do you FEEL? How well do you think you are sleeping? Anything in particular making you unhappy with your setup?

I'm glad you tried it and it was helpful. Cpap is a bit of a journey, you will gradually get more comfortable and get better and more consistent sleep. Definitely strap your machine down or place it in some kind of open box somit cant tip over, you dodged a bullet there. One thing that helped me was hose management. Especially in the winter, i use a clip attached to the hose with a velcro strip wrapped around the hose, and clipped to the blankets, it keeps the hose from driving me nuts (sometimes). Dry mouth can be air leaking if you use a nasal mask. Sorry, i dont remember what mask you are using. You may be able to "learn" over time to keep your mouth closed (again, sometimes). AHIs vary a lot, consistently under 5 is a good initial goal, and events that are logged while you are awake are counted bynthe machine but not important. If you see events on the charts when you suspecf you were awake, take comfort that your real AHI is probably even better.

If you're going to continue posting about treating others properly, then you need to stop taking shots at others yourself.RLMMG wrote: ↑Mon Dec 23, 2019 8:10 pmI don't understand some people and truly don't have time for it. Because, I keep seeing you complain about somebody else, while continuously poking at the person you're complaining about. I think that's sleazy.

It is normal to have the occasional wake-up, snore, snort, or pause in breathing during the night. Having an AHI under 1 is excellent, or even under 2. Those numbers will help reduce your long-term risk of health problems in exactly the way you are aiming for.
Once your numbers are consistently down in this range, the key question becomes how rested you feel during the day. This isn’t the best time to try to judge that. You’ve lost your father, and the holidays can be complicated at the best of times. But in the new year, do notice whether you feel less like napping, more clear-headed, and the like. Those are important indicators of how you’re doing.

I don't play the victim card while provoking others, and then complain about them being nasty in return.
