well then I guess I should be happy that I didn't pay a cent and it was given to me by my pulmonologist
Except........that you'll have to purchase their products which they require for the continued use of the machine.
Every so often or every few months you're supposed to buy replacement parts and supplies for the machine.

Might even be better if he had given you something useful, like a bottle of Dawn. Jim

It would take up less space in the house.

to me the part about being harmful ,and the neutralizer not needed..I know everyone has opinions
OK, let's talk about the Neutralizer, and let's stick with facts.

SoClean's Neutralizing Pre-wash costs between $18.00 and $30.00 (depending on where you buy it) for an 8 ounce bottle, that they encourage you to use 25% of per application.

It is nothing more than watered down dye-free, fragrance-free soap. Here is a link, to Seventh Generation Dishsoap, from Walmart.

https://www.walmart.com/ip/2-pack-Seven ... =880624461

Compare the ingredients:
Ingredients: Water, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Glycerin, Lauramine Oxide, Caprylyl/Myristyl Glucoside, Magnesium Chloride, Citric Acid, Benzisothiazolinone, Methylisothiazolinone, Gluten Free, Phosphate Free.
They are almost identical.

The main difference between the two products is SoClean charges you 20 times the amount and it's so diluted you have to use 1000 times the amount.

Compare the ingredients, prices and quantities yourself.

Now let's switch to opinion for a moment.

I've established that SoClean is ripping you off with the Neutralizer (dish soap) effectively giving you 20,000 times less value. Tells you, you need to use it.

This practise is dishonest, and they should not be trusted.

how often should you use the so clean neutralizer
Never, it's bad for your mask, and machine.
Aunkster wrote:

and should you soak equipment in it for long time
There's really no reason to soak anything.

or just a quick soak and clean..Thank you
Just forget the soak, just clean the stuff with soap, and rinse it off.

I get it I really do but there are people who do use ,,so why comment just to be negative..
Because soclean markets with fear and lies.

There's no need for them, and they can be harmful.

You must be from a foreign country, because in the US, no doctor "gives" anybody ANYTHING... it shows up on the bill, at a highly inflated price.

When I originally got my Resmed unit, I saw all of the SoClean ads, and actually considered purchasing one.
But.... I did a bit of research.

I also saw a lot of advice in this forum regarding cleaning. Most of us probably clean too much, but the general consensus here from experienced users is that Dawn dish soap or Baby shampoo and water do a fine job. I had gone with Controll III early on, but I stopped doing that. I'd only resort to that if I had a pretty bad URI.
Soap and water is enough.

Good call. :D

Remember, SoClean's game is about selling Chinese made knockoff's at premium prices. Big money to be made here.

I'm told that filters, plastic fittings, fluids, everything ships directly from China to a drop-ship facility in New Hampshire where it's repackaged and distributed

Hopefully the present lawsuits will force them to identify just how much ozone these devices are pumping into users living spaces, just how much ozone these Chinese made "filters" remove from the air, and the complete chemical composition of these "liquid consumables".

Remember CPAP manufacturers recommend soap and water. Period.

Soap and water is enough.
A whole lot of investigation is ongoing before I spend a single dime.

You'll never convince the NoClean aficionados that ozone isn't the best thing since cheese in a can...

Is that like holding a fart until you are in the stall--even though you KNOW it's only gas.
Or "gassing" your buddy's brew when he's not looking?
