Thank you - you are all so kind and encouraging. I think I was so freaked out by the noises which I'll try to attach 30 seconds of that I was sure changing things was going to look horrible on Oscar. Added to days and days of getting tireder and tireder though sleeping longer, I felt defeated and frustrated about what to do.
To answer questions, I tried EPR at 2 after experimenting. Just thought it would help because I was raising the pressures. You know, I don't always know what I'm doing!!! I can do 3 tonight. Yes, I had aerophagia toward late morning that kept waking me up with bubble cheeks. Re: putting SnoreLab away, I've been using it to make sure I'm not snoring or gasping or having other problems I'm not aware of because I'm asleep. This is a good example. I had no idea this noise was going on most of the night.
Now that I have had coffee, food, read your posts, I don't feel so defeated. But the noises are scarey and I have no idea what caused them. They sound like a person in an iron lung that also squeaks like a siren on each breath. That can't be a good thing.
Well I got this message in trying to attach so guess not: Invalid file extension: SnoreLab 30 secs.mp3
I'm glad you described the nature of the sound. How close is your phone placed to your machine? When I was struggling to figure out my leaks I put my Wyze cam on the nightstand near my machine. Was hoping to see mask slippage, and hear what the leaks sounded like. All I could hear in the recording was my machine's motor, constantly adjusting. Was surprised by this because I hear nothing in bed. The machine sounds were greatly amplified.
I'm gonna take one more shot at persuading you to uninstall that app. I also talk in my sleep occasionally. I can't imagine what that might sound like with my mouth taped up. Every once in awhile my wife says "you were making some wierd noises last night". It's normal part of sleeping for me. How about it?
And again, the right EPR setting is the one that feels the best to you.
Edit: to add - if you still don't want to uninstall snore lab, please be sure to put it in airplane mode.

No I was little Sally Simply. I go into changes thinking, "THIS will be the one that does it!!!!" And just stunned when it isn't!
Well, if it's any consolation my settings are good, and I've got things set up well for myself... but I still have bad nights... thought not because my AHI is bad.. but there's other stuff that makes my sleep bad at times.
Bummer - I'm sorry to hear that. I hope they aren't horrible and debilitating the next day with fatigue and brain fog. Those are the worst.
Usually just a lot more fatigue and lethargy... getting old hurts.

getting old hurts.
Still better than the alternative....I think.
My husband yesterday afternoon was saying his knees hurt worse than normal....asked me to look on the radar to see if it was raining/storming anywhere close by.
Got to looking and about 30 miles away (and moving our direction) was a nice small little thunder boomer cell.
Amazing what out bodies will tell us if we just listen.
I gotta go crawl under the deck to see if I can do something with one joist that needs to be jacked up a bit and hubby's belly won't allow him to do it. I suspect my body will soon be cussing me out and explaining why old women shouldn't be doing the stuff I do.

I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

Guilty as charged.
Got under the deck and unscrewed the joist hangers, jacked up the joist a bit....screwed the joist hangers back in place...and now the deck doesn't have a little annoying dip in it like it did have. One of the few times it pays to be little...hubby couldn't fit under the deck unless he dug a trench.
Only real problem...with all the contortions getting under a deck that is only 13 inches off the ground and sliding around in the mud....I turned my head funny and one of the rocks in my inner ear decided to move and my BPPV flared up for an hour or so.
I need to get some pictures...the deck is done except for the rails on one side (the high side of 20 inches) and I have to wait on the rails till the money tree grows some more leaves.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

Hi djams: So this must have been aliens or something. I've been using SnoreLab since March of last year. This is the first time ever I have had these sounds. My machine is on a chair to my right and the phone is on the other side of me on the left two feet away.
In fact I got the app because my ex boyfriend told me I talked in my sleep but couldn't make it out so I wanted to know what I was saying!!! Funny he NEVER mentioned that I snore like a pig as how I found out was with the app!!
I changed my EPR to 3 last "night" or so to speak: I slept from 4:30 am until about 3 p.m. So I have 2 screens - before noon and after noon. (My sleep cycle is messed up). They look good. I'll post them after I reply to other posts. Thank you for the EPR 3 suggestion. AND, my SnoreLab sounds lovely for last night - like a normal human should sound. So..."NO NO NO," she screamed hysterically! "You can't take my SnoreLab away from me!!!!" (I bet you still have your SnoreLab

)
Now if I could just get back to sleeping around midnight...some serious clonazapam a few nights I think!

I thought so too and accepted that until after pestering doctors for years, found I had hyperparathyroidism and had surgery. Few people are aware of this organ killing disease. And most endocrinologists don't know what they are doing re: it. I had to diagnose it myself with the parathyroid.com ap, contact them, and off I went to Florida. The pain went away in 24 hours. See parathyroid.com. It's practically an encyclopedia by the surgeon and his team who fixed me. Then the next thing that has helped my pain is THIS stuff - as I get the CPAP more and more tuned, I feel so much better - less pain, less headaches. Have not had a migraine in 3 weeks - this has never happened.

To my amazing team of never failing Cheerleaders and Brilliant Wizards - I think the heavens have parted, the CPAP gods and angels came down onto my bed last night!!!
So I have 2 screens as I fell asleep about 4:30 a.m. and woke up around 3 p.m today. They both look pretty darn good I think. And I don't feel like I want to slit my wrists with fatigue. I admit to knocking myself out with clonazapam since being awake until 4:30 was getting frustrating.
The only changes I made were raising my EPR from 2 to 3. And I put a little extra tape on my chin which seems insignificant. I also did not cut the ends off the tape on the ports. Again seems insignificant. One never knows for sure sometimes what matters and what doesn't. The SnoreLab was normal person noises. I am thinking maybe the night before that my BLEEP was a little off my nose and it was squeaking. But I can't be sure.
So here are my two screens: I'm not sure what the funny business is on the second screen. I don't remember being awake which is usually when I have CA's. I see leaking there so maybe it woke me up. But is this not AMAZING??? All to your hanging in there with me!!! (Yeah I know - tonight could be a disaster

Looks like I could raise my maximum pressure from 11.0 to 11.2.

You'll never hear a so much as a peep about it from me going forward. Except- please use airplane mode. There I'm done. I promise.
I never needed snore lab because I always had my lovely wife to shake me and say "djams! Roll over and shut your mouth! ".
Really glad to see positive report! But short reply as it's bedtime. Look forward to seeing the charts in the morning.
Work on that sleep cycle.

You're doing great, but you're not going to fix it all in one night. Why don't we get a few nights at these pressures and watch how thing go.

What's a snorelab? Is that a dog with a respiratory problem? Seems like a SnorePug would be more appropriate...
