SD Card Error - Resmed S9
I have an issue with my Resmed S9. Up until recently, the SD card was working properly, but now I'm receiving the error, "SD Card error, remove and press start to begin therapy." Initially, I thought that the SD card may have become corrupted, so I replaced the card with a new one today, but the error again reoccurred. I thought it may have been a formatting issue; so I reformated the card to no avail. I tried the card in another PAP device, and it worked properly. After it worked properly in the other PAP, I placed it in the original PAP, and the error persisted.
Is this an issue with my S9, or does anyone have any other suggestions?

It *might* be dust/cruft in the sd card slot that's preventing it making good contact. I've seen that before.FatBaldOldMan wrote: ↑Mon Feb 25, 2019 10:20 pmI have an issue with my Resmed S9. this has started happening to me intermittently. i have some compressed air or canned air or whatever it's called. do you a squirt of it into the card slot would help?palerider wrote: ↑Mon Feb 25, 2019 11:10 pmIt *might* be dust/cruft in the sd card slot that's preventing it making good contact. If you're not part of the solution you're just scumming up the bottom of the beaker!

I wouldn't think so, just don't blast it with a big compressor or anything

Just be gentle when you poke the tube in, so you don't hook and possibly bend any of the little fingers that make contact to the sd card.

Re: SD Card Error - Resmed S9
ended up chasing the dog with the canned air. i'm easily distracted!palerider wrote: ↑Thu Apr 25, 2019 6:18 pmJust be gentle when you poke the tube in, so you don't hook and possibly bend any of the little fingers that make contact to the sd card.
sprayed sd card and sd reader input slot, but got the same error message. tried a different, but not new, sd card. once it "prepared" the sd card, saw no error message.
will use this card tonight and see what tomorrow brings. if nothing else, it's a troubleshooting step.

Thank you to all those who contributed. As it turns out, my BIPAP was malfunctioning and it's been replaced. I'm now using an auto-BIPAP, also know as an ASV device. Again thanks to those who contributed.

An "auto bilevel" machine is one that acts much like an auto cpap, but with separate settable pressures for inhale and exhale. It is a type of the generic category of bilevel machines.
An ASV (Adaptive Servo Ventilator) is a highly specialized type of bilevel machine, and is not an 'auto' machine. Auto machines respond slowly, over many minutes of time, whereas ASVs respond almost instantly, changing pressure breath by breath. And ASV will force air into you, making you breathe, and auto will not.
