I wouldn't worry about those, as long as you're not being waked up by them.
In fact, if you sit at 24lpm all night long, but it's not bothering your sleep, or your bedmate/housemates/neighbors... that's fine, as are some leaks over 24... up to a (fairly high) point.

Great, thanks! Didn't have any leaks waking myself or my husband but our dog was staring at me this morning so maybe it was bothering him. Or maybe he was just hungry and wanted me to get up and get him breakfast.palerider wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 4:59 pmawesomely so!babydinosnoreless wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 4:19 pmIs this better?palerider wrote: 2) your leak chart is so squished I can't see anything, since you're not having any significant FLs, just slide that chart off, and even the size of the others out.

I have a feeling that you're looking *at* the wiggles and uneven breathing, and palerider is looking *into* the wiggles and uneven breathing.babydinosnoreless wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 11:37 amAlso the wiggles and uneven breathing.. I started going back in my old data and I always seem to have this kind of wiggles rather than the nice even patterns I see others post. Is this just crappy sleep or should I as PR suggested the other day turn my PS to 3 ?
Looking *at* it, I just see a little-bitty arousal. Everyone has these all night long. I *think* what palerider is looking at is where the flow goes flat for a very brief period of time. He'll certainly be along to correct me if I'm wrong. On the PS? - I'd never second guess palerider's recommendation, and I don't even have a fancy-schmancy, high falutin' machine like you do.
I've had this feeling throughout these recent posts that you're both looking at the same thing, but talking about different aspects of it.
Here's a couple of examples of the wiggles from my charts - I'd actually like to know if I've got the "sleep onset" and "post arousal" names right. Could make a case that they are both sleep onset. In the first, I had an arousal that woke me up for 3 minutes, then I didn't breath while falling back to sleep. In the second, the arousal didn't wake me up, but again I didn't breath while falling back to sleep.

Re: baby dino's casa de los suenos
What I'm looking at, and talking about, is the variation in amplitude of the flow rate, which *might* suggest a co2 over/undershoot situation.... ie, the PS is causing a *little* more ventilation, and thus co2 blowoff... this can cause a slightly depressed respiratory drive. It's not much, and I wouldn't be worrying about it... but it bothers her, and so I thought that it would be worth seeing if a little less ventilation would even things out.djams wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 7:52 pmI have a feeling that you're looking *at* the wiggles and uneven breathing, and palerider is looking *into* the wiggles and uneven breathing.babydinosnoreless wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 11:37 amAlso the wiggles and uneven breathing.. If so, she can either stick with the lower PS, or say "meh, who cares" and go back to 4... knowing more of what's going on.
As to yours, they both look like you were sleeping beforehand. but they're a little scrunched vertically and horizontally.
Having your y axis at something more like -75 to 75 on both would be good, and the same time scale would make it easier to compare, and see what was happening before (ie, if it looked like sinusoidal typical awake breathing, or the characteristic sleep breathing pattern.

Re: baby dino's casa de los suenos
Thanks. Couple more questions, to clarify for me. Is this wiggles indeed kicked off by an arousal? And are you looking at the wiggles only, or the entire zoomed timeframe?palerider wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 8:05 pm[What I'm looking at, and talking about, is the variation in amplitude of the flow rate, which *might* suggest a co2 over/undershoot situation.... ie, the PS is causing a *little* more ventilation, and thus co2 blowoff... this can cause a slightly depressed respiratory drive. These shots are from long ago, around the time I learned how to zoom in and look at my events. Was going to put them in my therapy thread, but never did. This still happens though, I'll grab one next time and format the Y axis. FWIW - my assessment was that I was sleeping soundly before these arousals.palerider wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 8:05 pms to yours, they both look like you were sleeping beforehand. but they're a little scrunched vertically and horizontally.

I am not sure how to explain it but look at the areas that I underlined with yellow. When you look at your breathing its nice and even mine is all over the place. It gets fat then narrow. I think the area I marked in red is me turning over or adjusting the mask.djams wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 7:52 pmI have a feeling that you're looking *at* the wiggles and uneven breathing, and palerider is looking *into* the wiggles and uneven breathing.babydinosnoreless wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 11:37 amAlso the wiggles and uneven breathing.. That's what I thought you meant, and what I was talking about testing to see if a little less PS would help even that out.babydinosnoreless wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2019 10:37 pm
