The unmentionable Australian company

Post by ozij » Sat Nov 25, 2006 10:38 am

You know those who raised the prices and said they won't sell software on the internet. Everytime we mention their name, seach engines pick them up.

It's a drop in the ocean, but how about referring to the as med -res which will stand for "Medical services Restrictors?

Evil Med-Res
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body totally worn out and screaming,WOO HOO what a ride!

Sounds good to me, ozij, if you're talking about the company headed up by Petey Feral.

For quite some time, I've been spelling their name as ResMad.....because their policies make me mad.
They're just trying to cozy-up to the B&M suppliers.....a flawed philosophy.

It was actually Den's spelling that gave me the idea...
Yep, it's that company alright, RG.

I almost look at it as a blessing now, all it did for me was give me the kick in the pants I needed to look for alternatives and it didn't take me that long to find something less expensive, more comfortable and that works better.

Bill,

Perhaps its just us Aussies - some folks here sure know how to ring our bell

They just need to post a meaningless even senseless or pointless jibe or remark about Resmed and we bite. I get caught all the time. Here I am thinking we are about promoting cpap issues and better compliance, this political ranting just seems to be part of it all.

Bill,
I can't speak for others but my commentary on this subjuect is fully "informed."
The folks at MedRes are trying to force a minimum retail price on that market that is significantly higher that the natural minimum established by the free market. This is completely within their rights... but we are also free to point out what they are trying to do and to choose not to buy their products. To compound matters they sight false rationale to justisfy their decision that was no less than an attack on the quality of support we get here on this forum.

You are right... there is a problem with the US healthcare sector. People like the folks at cpap.com are working to fix it. The folks at MedRes are working to exploit it for their own gain.

Sincerely,

But isn't it better to have the uncomplimentary comments and the truth be known about thier practices? If we fail to use their name in our gripes someone searching on that name is not going to see the negative information about this company. If we use the name the information about their selling practices shows up in the "search hits" too.

VERY good point!
When I started changing the spelling in my remarks, I wasn't even thinking about the "search" results.
