Wait so it just tapes to your face? Wow. I think I'd like this because headgear bothers my jaw. However I have facial hair … would have to shave that to wear this mask I'd think.

I am really happy you found a mask you love!
Based on Jason's video, only if you've got a hairy nose :D

It might be the mask for you, nothing at all anywhere near the jaw.
Ohh. I misunderstood where it attaches. Clever!

For those who find alcohol too harsh for their skin, I recommend using a product like Sea Breeze Sensitive Skin Astringent. My skin is too oily for washing only but too sensitive for alcohol. We picked a bottle up at our local grocery store for just under $4 and it will last for ages.

P.S. Off topic tip - this product is great for people struggling with dandruff. Part the hair in small sections and with each part scratch lightly with comb if needed to loosen scale. Soak cotton ball with Sea Breeze and rub on scalp in each small parted section. Shampoo as usual. You're welcome.

I have a full beard. I just needed to trim the top part of my moustache around the nostrils. And of course, trim the nose hairs. :)

Review from forum member djams. I am the only one who can edit held space so this is the only way I can put it in here but this is exactly what was sent to me. Only thing I added was the images because he didn't know how to do that in a PM.
Thanks for getting that out there for me Pugsy!

I've used the word "DreamPort" a lot in this review, you may have gotten tired of seeing it. It's because I really feel like calling it a mask is doing it a disservice. It isn't a mask at all - it's the anti-mask. Something all together new.
Maybe it should be an "Air Delivery Device" instead of a mask :D

Yes! Something like that. I spent awhile trying to come up with alternative names. Best I could do was "leak free human to cpap interface"

Bleepin strap free air stuffer?

(I'm going to get a cease and desist letter if I'm not careful).

All masks have little things that we as individuals might prefer that they might do something just a little differently.
All masks...there is no one single mask out there that is going to meet everyone's personal preferences and needs 100% perfectly because we all have individual preferences.

Our job as mask users is to figure out what trips our trigger and what we want and need...and find the mask that best meets our own personal criteria. It's not always an easy job to figure out and usually involves a lot of mask experimentation and mask experiments aren't cheap. To be able to fulfill a person's needs they first have to be able to isolate their needs and everyone will have different needs.

So each of us gets to decide what we want to best meet the bulk of our needs...once we figure out what they are.

If the Bleep/DreamPort looks interesting to you....I will tell you what I tell everyone about any mask that looks "interesting" and they want to try it.....just do it if you can.
Just wanting to try something is a good enough reason to try something in my book. You don't necessarily have to be unhappy with what you are currently using either.
I have tried well over 40 plus masks over the years just because they looked "interesting" and I like to try stuff that peaks my interest.
I always learn something either about my own needs or about the mask and sometimes the only thing I learn is how much I hate so and so mask. But I always learn something.

If it doesn't look interesting and you don't want to try it...then don't. Move on.
I am here only to share my own personal experience with it and that's all. Explain the pros and cons from my point of view.
Someone else will likely have a different point of view...that's as it should be.

But if you hate headgear and lines on your face or bags under your eyes....look at it seriously as a potential experiment.

Do you see any issues using this mask with a higher PS on bi-level?

The next review will be from someone using a bilevel and a PS around 6 I think. I don't remember exactly what his EPAP / IPAP runs.

I do have a 760 PR S1 I could fire up and give it a run to see what it does at higher pressures but lets wait and see what he is using.

I don't see a problem with higher pressures or even ASV kind of pressures.

If I need to fire up my 760...what kind of pressures are you talking about with your machine? I know it is a bit different from my 760 but I could probably get close enough to see what happens.

I run a PS min of 8, PS max of 20, with an EPAP of 5. I like the mobility of the P10 pillows, but even though I don't pull the straps that tight/close together, I wake up with some pretty bad strap marks and bags under my eyes from it being too tight I am gathering.

I don't wear the P10 too tight at all. If fact quite loose really but I still get the marks even with some good padacheek strap covers.
Some people just get marks/dents on their face from the least little pressure. I am one of those people and you might be one of them too. I have actually have had a "scar" on my cheek from laying on a wrinkle line in the pillow case.

Let me check with the other person testing the Bleep and see how close his pressures are to yours. Won't be exactly the same but might give you a better idea. I do know he uses more PS than I have ever used or been comfortable with.
I don't see pressures affecting the seal itself though.

Are you self pay or do you have insurance? I forget.

I bury my face into the pillow and am somewhat of an active sleeper so it's bound to happen I guess.

I self-pay but I just moved and got a new job recently which means new insurance, and I may end up just getting masks from the DME if it means the cost is right...I hate dealing with those people but I guess there are worse things in life.

I'm scheduled for an AVAPS titration tomorrow night actually in the hospital, with carbon dioxide levels being monitored as well...can pretty much guarantee that I'll be calling out of work on Tuesday lol.
