Trying to feel more rested - sleepy head data

Post by medlabtech.miracle » Tue Jan 08, 2019 1:24 am

I could not figure out how to print the screen from dang windows 10.

First, it said I had a large mask leak. My machine says mask fit 100% which I thought that meant no leaks. 2 of the leaks were probably when I was lying down and I side-sleep and then roll over around an hour. But some leaking also when asleep.

Second, I had a large AHI going past 8 at 8:10am, which was the time I suddenly woke up for no reason. It didn't look like the pressure on cpap was going up at that time. Not sure what I'm telling you is accurate. I have significant insomnia nearly daily after 6 hours of sleep (8:10 am) which I've been blaming on household noise.

I sleep 2am- 12pm, THANKS!

I'm just snipping. This is the little pie chart thing.

F12, or use the menu option 'take screenshot'.

AHI
AHI, possibly the most useless of all charts, followed closely by Respiration Rate.

You are using a Respironics machine with a ResMed default red line leak threshold.
SH is going to tell you that you are having massive leaks and you aren't.
Fix it...
Preferences...CPAP tab....change the 24 L/min red line threshold to something more suitable for your Respironics machine...we have to guess because Respironics doesn't have a static red line.
75 L/min is a good conservative red line threshold for a Respironics machine at your pressures. In reality it is probably more up around 90 L/min but hurts nothing to get on the conservative side.

Please don't do snippets. We need to be able to see the big picture in one nice easy to visualize image.
AHI graph...useless...we can already see the events up on the Events graph.

See this thread for the optimal format.

You are using Windows 10....check to see if you have the Snipping Tool available....makes screen shots a 1 second chore and easy to work with. Paint is horrible to work with.
Google "Windows 10 Snipping Tool".
That's what I use exclusively...so much easier and faster than any other screen shot tool.

You can use the Windows Snipping Tool

Windows button / Start typing Snipping / then select it.

Snipping tool allows you to select exactly what you want from screen, highlight, and save.

If F12 is wireless try Fnc F12 or Fn F12 so you get the alternate choice on tht key (or tell us what type of PC/Keyboard you use and we can help more)

Thanks Jas, now SleepyHead locked up on me. I deleted the program file and reloaded it, stilled locked. Have to wait for my a day off to mess more with this. However, I got a lot out of it already.

I ran through every day of the last month before SleepyHead locked up and I made an executive decision to decrease my apap pressure range from 4-20 to 8-16 with a 30 min ramp 4-8. Most nights my 90% pressure is 7.5-9, I have rare events going to 15. I think the main problem is the pap isn't adjusting quickly enough to cover the events. I have little OA, nearly 1/2 (rera + flow limitation) and1/2 hypopnea.

Does this seem a good starting point? I'll get a few nights with this before I see the sleep doc.

changing the max pressure is meaningless in your case, just leave it at 20, and raise the minimum.

So far, you've only given us one scrunched up partial chart, so... sure, 8 for a minimum.
