Sleep Profiler Quiz

Post by Sleepless on LI » Sat Nov 11, 2006 7:48 pm

From an article Ozij posted in another thread, I found this link. It takes a few minutes to do but was interesting and a bit different from any other sleep test I've taken.

It's a sleep profiler. See how you do if you have a few spare minutes. Hey, you're reading this thread, so you must have SOME spare time. Right?

Edited:
Here is a stones to pounds calculator necessary to complete the profiler. Sorry I didn't add it early.

you have to enter it in stone. St means stone. Convert pounds to stone and it will take it. Use google. In the search box on the Google page, type [your weight] in stone. For example, if you weighed 180 pounds, you'd type 180 pounds in stone. It'll convert it for you.

That's because it was looking for weight in British terms, X stones + x pounds; if you weigh 150 pounds, it would be 10 stone, 10 pounds. I was never good at converting pounds to stone or back, even when I lived in Ireland, so I divided my weight in pounds by 2.2 to convert it to kilograms ...with the help of a my calculator, of course

It told me I worry about sleep too much

Seemed pretty close in my case scored 68%.
Took it a second time and answered it Pre-cpap and scored a 40% It told me not to sleep on my back.

Nice to see you again Lori,you disappeared for a while.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body totally worn out and screaming,WOO HOO what a ride!

I love it!

Lori, thanks for the sleep test; I 'scored' 40.
Nice picture, but where's your grin? And is that a "don't scratch" collar?
You know I'm just ribbing you! I really missed you; glad to know you're baaack!

Tooly:

If you worry too much about sleep;
scored a 40% with your pre-CPAP answers, and;
shouldn't sleep on your back--then:

WHY are you titrated at a whopping 19 cm?
____________________________________________

I scored a 57 % the first time, with CPAP. I'm supposedly more FLEXIBLE because I am an Owl. It did say my work hours were interfering, and I had checked "Does Not Apply" for that one.

I tried answering with my Pre-CPAP life and scored a 61%. I was supposedly getting the sleep I need, but would probably benefit from seeing a doctor about my sleep problems.

This is a very interesting and non-scientific poll, but does give some ideas and good advice. Thanks, Lori!

(Besides, now I know how many stone I weigh! I didn't want to know how many kilograms, though it IS just a number.)

Ditto on Tooly's comment to Lori. Welcome back. We have missed you.

Hey Lori,
Really good to see you!

Didn't have time to take the memory tests, but I think they would be interesting to do, too. Later maybe.

Hope all is well.

Thanks for the link .. the entire human body and mind section of this site is really cool.

I scored 36% pre-PAP and 69% post-PAP.
