Hi All

I was doing a search when I came across this interesting thread and on checking I found the link still valid -

http://www.bbc.co.uk/science/humanbody/sleep/profiler/

So I reckoned it deserved a bump.

Just to summarize the previous posts you can do the test using your pre-cpap condition, and then using your current cpap condition, and compare the two.

If you do the test do remember the weights and size are British or Metric measurements, which means that -

"st" means a "stone" which is 14 lbs.

http://www.weightlossresources.co.uk/bo ... verter.htm

I found the feedback from the test interesting and surprisingly relevant.

Doing the test also leads to more interesting links, such as -

I love doing a search, as there are many treasures hidden away in years gone by, just waiting to be found again

So thanks to Ozij and Sleepless on LI for a "blast from the past".

cheers

Mars

PS. Reading the old thread is also a reminder of those who have contributed so much to the Forum in the past, and are no longer posting. I hope they are all safe and having a Happy Christmas, and on this thread I especially remember those who were on the Forum when I first joined - Birdshell and DreamStalker.

Birdshell made many invaluable posts, and dare I say I miss the educational discussions between Rooster and DreamStalker
for an an easier, cheaper and travel-easy sleep apnea treatment :D

Those tests need options like:
I don't read anymore because I can't focus or absorb what I read. So I don't fall asleep while reading.
I don't fall asleep sitting in traffic because I don't have the energy or motivation to go anywhere that I don't have to.

For me it isn't about falling asleep, it's about not being functional. I won't fall asleep talking with you, but I won't be fully engaged and probably won't remember much that you said.

Amazingly, I scored 93%. I think I did something wrong? Or perhaps I'm just not an energetic person (sounds better than "lazy") and I'm not suffering from lack of sleep, but from lack of exercise. I do feel tired-ish during the day, but never doze off unless I actually go to bed in the afternoon. Thanks for the quiz, it gave me something to think about in terms of what I ought to be doing to improve my energy level.
