If you weren't on your back, and your pressure was high enough to do its job properly, it's much less likely that your mouth would open looking for more air... but regardless, do stick with SH as MyAir is not much good at reporting.

Watch where your onscreen keyboard box is when you grab your screen shot...it's in a bad place for this image.

Why the breaks in therapy?

Nasal pillows mask need/implants-arch soon

Post by STRONGSLTN » Thu Oct 04, 2018 5:48 am

Attaching last night report, probably my best ever.
Seeking comments on need for nasal pillow mask and suggestions for which one. I am fairly happy with the Amara view, but I am due to have all lower teeth removed and implants=full arch put in shortly. I feel the AV puts a lot of pressure on my lower jaw and may possibly help cause my teeth to further loosen. I think after surgery this mask may be bad for the final results of mouth renewal.I will be doing he the top arch next. What are your feelings on this?

For nasal pillow mask look at these and see if one strikes your fancy.

The one I use....link in my profile...the ResMed AirFit P10. It is just about as nothing of a mask as there is out there. Minimal everything including pressure on the upper jaw and none on the lower jaw (of course).

The F & P Brevida.....

The ResMed Swift FX

The Respironics DreamWear nasal gel pillow mask. The plus with this mask is there is a full face mask available that works with the frame (so you only need headgear and the FFM cushion) and that FFM is similar to the Amara View.

About your report from last night.

Did you ever go to sleep at all after that first very short segment? I am wondering if some of those flagged events are awake events getting flagged by mistake and making your AHI worse than it really is.

Yes, but not sure how long it took. Curiously My ah1 now reads 2.98 on same info.

Looked over your recs and ordered the resmed airfit p10, I see there is no swivel on the hose but resmed site says easy to move around. Is this your experience, and would you recommend staying with same 12/20 pressure settings. TY for all your help.

The hose on the P10 is so lightweight and flexible that I have never even missed the lack of the swivel. Never thought about it until someone mentioned it.

I don't like changing more than one thing at a time unless it is absolutely necessary. If anything you might could get by with a little less pressure but I would suggest starting off at current pressure if possible.
