ImageOK, I got my new mask. I was hoping for the Amara View. I received the Amara FF gel and silicone . Gel I could hardly seal at all. Silicone? I still wasn,t any better than old mask. Maybe I just don't get it. I sit up to try and seal and make adjustments from loose to fairly tight, and adjust forehead control. I think I will ask for Amara View. I do get somewhat claustrophobic. Last night I gave up.Posting 4 nights. Hoping for advice.

The only advice I can give is to fix your leaks.

Maybe go in to your DME for mask shopping.

mask adjustments/fitting should be made while laying down.

this in re: you saying you sit up to try to get it to fit.
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

TY, working on it. Manf says sitting up?? Been doing some of each. Total index is down despite leaks, machine seems to compensate for most leaks. Is data way compromised tho?

your face changes shape (literally) when lying down. gravity can be a stern master! so when you have your mask well fitted sitting up, it can possibly loosen when lying down.

you may want to go to youtube and see if there are any fitting videos available for your particular mask.

good luck!

OK, things are looking up. On my third mask. I can seal this one if don't bite on the chin and create large leaks,,,like last night. Only had to go to bath once. Much improved. Forgot card the night before when I logged 9+ hours and leaks were ok.

Can you please post pix using info from SH instructions... what you did can't be read. But why are you still using the AV mask when there are so many easier ones available?

What do you mean by why this mask, it's my third mask ...do you have suggestions that are better than Amara view. I don't know if a mask w/o mouth coverage would work...have not tried yet.

To get the image to show up and you want to use the one you have saved to your desktop on your computer you have to use the attachment feature.
Click on attachment tab at the bottom of your box where you are composing and tell it to attach a file and navigate to that file you have saved on your computer.

Use the preview button to see if it works or not.

You complained about the mask earlier on... and it was suggested that you look at all the others on Cpap.com for ideas, pix, reviews, etc... but you apparently are still with the same one. Just curious.

Omit the snore graph and include the pressure graph please. The pressure graph is more important than the snore graph.
Also hide the calendar.

With the exception of that time frame starting about 00:00 and ending around 01:30 you leaks were much better managed on this report.
Might have been helpful to see what the pressure was doing at the time of the large leaks.

So better.....but still room for improvement.
Especially because you are way deep into large leak territory for those approx 90 minutes at 80 + L/min.
If it was around 30 L/min I wouldn't worry so much about it but you are way deep into large leak territory and to the point that the machine likely will have trouble responding, recording and in general having any idea what is going on or what to do about it.

The night where you forgot to put the SD card in and leaks were better and you got 9 hours of sleep...Murphy's law strikes again...when you really want to see the details and can't because you forgot to put the SD card in the machine. Been there and one that myself.

If this new mask has promise and you are at least getting some nights where the leaks aren't massive all night long...keep at it.
What other 2 masks have you tried? You may have mentioned it already but I can't see all the posts right now.

I first had two full face masks the comfort gel and then the Amara. I am now on the Amara view, That large leak was caused be having the chin portion slip into my mouth while asleep.
Maybe this graph of last night is better.
