Airsense 10 making a wheezing noise

Post by kuk_sleeper » Mon Aug 20, 2018 9:45 am

Hi,

I have been using a Airsense 10 for past month. For a last week or so I feel that the machine is a bit l loud. It seems to make a wheezing noise which seem to mirror my breathing. I have taken video

This this sound unusual? Have anyone faced this ?

Thanks & Regards

Hi,

Mine made a little noise too, but I didn't hear it after I fell asleep. I also moved it to the floor just so the light wouldn't wake up my wife at 4 am.... 8)

What light is that?

Mine doesn't have one after it starts.

I'm thinking my light comes on when I turn off the machine, being on the ground I don't recall for sure now...oh, my memory. ,, I know my S9 light comes on, it lights up the room... 8)

I do not mind the noise. But this is a new machine and I do not remmember it making this sound a couple of weeks ago. I hope the machine is not malfunctioning.

Is your sleep data still behaving? If you don't already have the application named sleepyhead, you might consider getting it free online so that you can review your own sleep data nightly.

The wheezing noise could be an indication that something has gone amiss with your machine. Taking the machine in to the DME for review might be a good idea.

I know that the OP asked about the airsense 10’s noise level but what is this mention of a light? I have a AS10-AS and I do not recall seeing a light other than the screen’s backlight.

I do not feel anything wrong.
This is the sleepyhead data from yesterday. Please note I removed my mask for 1 hour in my sleep

Looks like you could lower your minimum a bit, and raise your maximum... the machine really can't do anything with the settings you've got.

If you think this is a noise that you didn't have when you first got the machine then take it back to where you got it and have it checked and maybe listen to another model just like it and see if it has the same noise.
The AirSense 10 AutoSet should be essentially silent.

Hi Steve, I guess one would call it a courtesy light that comes on. Its just the illumination of the screen, not like a flashlight...

Funny thing PR, I no longer make potty calls during the night since starting cpap. The light on my s9 sure is bright though, I checked this AM and my 10 does light up the screen, just not as bright.
