Re: Mostly Centrals
The only other thing to try is a PS of zero.
Then the next step is a different machine.

Re: Mostly Centrals
Ok, thank you, I will try 0. Does that mean it will just be an auto between two levels?
Also, I attached my old data from my old machine. I could never get used to it because the sessions never got very long at all. I felt worse. However, the ahi's appear to be less. Does this help in analysis? Pressures? Thank you.

Re: Mostly Centrals
I don't know. It looks like you were doing a lot of dial wingin' (settings changes) in the past with very sporadic usage. It looks like the longest period of time you stayed at one setting was 7 days. Most periods were only 1 day long. Plus there's about a 5 year gap in there. When you make a change, you need to give your body some time to adjust. I'd say about 3 days - others disagree, however. Anyway, it's kind of difficult to see a trend when the changes have been jumping around so much. I would try to be a little more methodical.
Just my two cents.

Re: Mostly Centrals
I sort of agree with you. I think that large changes are warranted until you get close, then small changes, and give it a chance to average out. An CAI of 17, to me, doesn't need to wait for daily averages.Jay Aitchsee wrote: ↑Thu Jul 19, 2018 3:56 pmWhen you make a change, you need to give your body some time to adjust. If it were an ahi of 3, and tweaking lower... then yes, wait a few days and see if it was a good or bad night and get averages.

Yeah, it's too bad we don't know the make up of the AHI from the previous machine. His best AHi was 3.47, but he blew right by that with another change the next night. From the history, It looks like his min pressure needs to be up around 11+, but it's kinda hard to tell. Why do suppose the Doc went to the Vauto? Comfort through PS? A lot of those CA look like they could be occurring while awake, many, if not the majority, while the machine is at lower pressures. Again, hard to tell.

Re: Mostly Centrals
My only guess is because some doctors think all bilevels are the same, so many seem to think that plain bilevels help centrals, though they clearly do not.Jay Aitchsee wrote: ↑Thu Jul 19, 2018 5:31 pmpalerider wrote: ↑Thu Jul 19, 2018 4:46 pmI sort of agree with you. Re: Mostly Centrals
Hello,
I have the specific data from the old machine. I have the sd card, still. If you have a specific day that would help, please tell me. I was changing the pressures because I was in a cycle of always waking up after only about 1 hour, then awake for a couple, then sleep for only an hour. I could not live like that. I also could never get over "chipmunk cheeks" with the old machine. I tried tape, straps, everything... With the new machine and mask, I was able to stop that by sleeping on my side.
The new dr decided on a bipap due to a belief I had complex apnea (sleep study). I have no idea what is needed. Thank you for your help. I'm trying ps0 tonight.

Re: Mostly Centrals
Your strip charts are too scrunched, please expand the other charts till only
Flags
Flow
Pressure
Leak
are showing, the rest of the charts aren't helpful most of the time, and trying to get them on the screen just makes everything else too scrunched up.

Re: Mostly Centrals
Sadly, with the old machines, I was never able to really sleep through the night. With the new machine, I was about 1-2 hour sleeping, 1/2-1hour away, etc., but I could do the whole night, which I though was much better until the rise in centrals. Attached is a longer one with the old machine. From 2017. I tried longer in 2012, but gave up when I could never get the ahi lower than about 14 regularly. Also, could never get enough sleep. I also attached 2012 to show ahi and attempts.
