Don't you want to boycott Resmed
Is it just me or don't you want to boycott Resmed products for their trying to manipulate internet sales and pricing? And I have a Resmed machine and a bunch of their masks! They have never been good about responding to their consumers on anything but when they go against my freedom to do business with whom I choose to, I just really have a problem with that! I have learned, the only way companies get the message is through the withholding of money via sales of their product. I will not be buying anymore of their products if their new policy stands.

When I saw the Dr this morning and she started to write the new RX, I told here to say "No Resmed Products" on it.
She asked why and I quickly explained what was going on... she said that made sense... and wrote it on the RX form.
Haven't had any, but won't buy from them now in anycase.

If Resmed apologizes and cuts there price in half I still wont buy from them.
Hopefully all the other manufacturers will learn from Resmeds foolishness.

I just have something to confess Resmed's little caper did me some good, I was wanting a APAP for backup. By their underhand dealings, I promply voted my displeasure, and got a new Remstar APAP, and HH, from cpap.com (the Tank). Thanks to Restmed I have the best APAP, I could buy, they pushed me off the fence so I would get what I needed.
However proud, I am of Resmed's Corporate Plan, I shall never pay for a restmed product. I hope they have enough money saved up to bandage that foot they shot. Jim
I might try one from the trash can behind my Brick & mortar DME, if it's not too old.

Are you all talking about that uncaring company whose name starts with a little "r" in my mind now?
Their name doesn't deserve a big R any more.
I've bought their masks and machines in the past.
resmed will not get a dime of my money ever again.

Boycott Resmed
I learned something yesterday while speaking to a cpap online store (not this one), and that's they are going to continue selling the prods at the old prices because they believe that while R. can suggest new prices, they can't legally dictate what prices the stores have to sell at, so regardless of the boycott which I am definitely thinking of supporting, there may be people who just can't 'fit' any other masks and who don't want to feel bad about needing to reorder them - and now they may be able to at least get them at the usual prices without a hassle.

Well, I have to make a counterpoint here. I have no financial or business interest in this argument.
Capitalism 101, folks: ResMed management's job is to maximize shareholder value. They are not a welfare organization. This is obviously part of a strategy to maximize value by dominating a channel to market, namely the DME channel, and my bet is that it works. Sorry to break the news, but this little "boycott" proposed here, however well intended, will have no effect. None. Zip. Zilch. Zero. It is a tempest in a teapot. This group is not a significant part of that chosen channel to market.
For my part, my DME supplies me with ResMed equipment. The equipment works as adverstised. The DME gives me good service. I have insurance that covers it 100%, because I work for a company that offers that, a company I worked very hard to get hired with and work very hard to be successful in. In addition, I have contacted ResMed on some issues and they have given me good service also. Why would I boycott something that works for me? My guess is there are thousands of happy DME served ResMed customers out there, most of whom aren't even on this forum.
If any of us want to buy online, ResMed will not be our brand. They have priced themselves out of that channel to market. But that's OK, there are plenty of others and plenty of online suppliers. Resmed's strategy will not work for every supplier, so thier move will not drive prices up. Everyone should be happy. Personally, I think I am going to but some ResMed stock!
