My sleep doc said (and I've seen research that agreed) that UARS can take more pressure to correct than OSA. And for me on my titration that was the case. So maybe going up a bit on the pressure would help. As others have said, make sure you're seeing someone who is certified in sleep medicine. (Mine is head of a local large hospital's sleep center.)

You must be referring to Dr Krakow... More pressure can be more disruptive to UARS sleepers

just curious know more details about that conclusion. Something like "my RDI sucked at pressures 13/10, but was totally grounded at 16/11"

Though I think BiPAP does help me more even with the same pressure as APAP, just because I can manipulate the trigger/cycle, which is not available in the latter

As far as UARS, I definitely feel I have those issues in addition to apnea. Unfortunately, I can't tolerate any more pressure than what is necessary to take care of my AHI.

No, nothing to do with Dr. Krakow. I don't read much of his stuff. After my titration, the sleep doc said that 8.5 took care of everything but the UARS and that bumping up to 9 took care of those. This was 10 years ago, so I don't remember anything more than that. I'm on regular CPAP.

Not once has anyone alluded to that thread once it was off the first page, and there were many times it could and should have been. Nothing changed... same people saying the same nasty, rude things and getting away with it.

Be careful about taking advice from unregistered guests. There are some trolls here. It's best to stick with registered members with a long history. Pugsy and Palerider are two good ones. There are many other good ones, but those two post the most.

I'm sorry, but I am an unregistered person here. Just because I am "guest" doesn't mean I don't have something important to say about what I have learned or experienced. The person you so eloquently attacked for being a "Guest", and putting out there his/her experience is no less capable of putting out their information. So sad that we can't all be here to try to help each other out. I think you should take a good look at your posts before you treat "Guests" like they don't count. This "Guest" you have put to the back burner could be someone of value in the near future, and could also become a registered member, who then gets the same respect you are showing to the other two here. Just my two cents, if it's worth anything.

If you have something that you need to contribute, why not invest a small amount of your time to become a member. If you don't like us we will cheerfully refund your deposit, as far as learning, just searching and reading can answer most of your questions, no comments needed. That method takes even less effort.

Many Guests, come here to cause trouble and are looked on as trouble makers and drive by's, not all, but some, it's harder to trust someone who's hiding. Not that becoming a member makes you a good person, this is the internet, mileage varies.

Guest, be careful about making assumptions. I have definitely confronted agitators in the past. But for various reasons, I have currently chosen not to.
