Re: Will we ever adjust?
Hi all,
I have posted screenshots of the 12.03. (The only night the pressure was on 10), then of last night (When the pressure was on 11) and a summary of all days.
He never stopped snoring but I felt that when the pressure was on 10 it was much less. Last night it was a lot and I didn't get any sleep.
I would highly appreciate your insights on this. I am beyond frustrated.
I will post the settings soon. My dh is working and I am not very family with using the settings.
Thanks a lot for your help!

He has and he mentioned that he has a a narrow throat. The doctor referred him then to the sleep doctor who diagnosed him with sleep apnoea and prescribed the Cpap.
For those looking at the charts kindly let me know if you need any more information and I am happy to post.

Re: Will we ever adjust?
Did you check the menu to see if there is an APAP option as Pugsy requested?

Re: Will we ever adjust?
I have double checked and as Pugsy mentioned it's only a 30 day trial.
Our issue is that recently we have changed insurances and the new insurance doesn't cover anything related to sleep studies so the best would be that we find a solution with the current CPAP.

Re: Will we ever adjust?
I know you're frustrated but at least you have taken some control over this, it'll be sorted quicker than going back and forth to your doctor. Let Pugsy advise you on this, she's the best, if she can't get him sorted nobody can. Good luck.

Thank you so much Hannibal, it means a lot.
And thanks to Pugsy and everyone for their valuable advises, I wouldn't know what I would do without it, the doctor certainly hasn't been a great help.

Re: Will we ever adjust?
I don't want to use up all the apap days...just a couple to see what pressure the machine wants to go to in an effort to kill the snores. No need to worry about a different machine or anything like that.
It's either use trial apap mode for 2 or 3 nights or keep trying more pressure and you need to leave the pressure at a setting choice for more than 1 night to get the best idea as to how it is working.
Probably the worse nights in terms of snores are when he is on his back more.

Re: Will we ever adjust?
Thanks so much Pugsy, that makes sense. Basically we should use the APAP setting to determine which pressure is optimal?
Is there anything we should consider when using that setting?

Re: Will we ever adjust?
Yeah, just use the apap mode to help figure out an optimal cpap pressure.
I suggest trying minimum of 10 and max of 20 and just see where it wants to go.
Using apap mode even for 2 or 3 nights will also turn on the Flow limitation flagging which right now it is turned off.
Flow limitations and snores are part of the things the apap will try to fight and where one finds snores usually FLs can be found also. They tend to go together.
Right now in cpap mode we have no idea what the FLs are doing....the FL 0.0 means nothing because it's turned off in cpap mode.

Sooner the better I'd say, appreciate you have to get your DH to agree but it's the best way to find out what's needed.

Re: Will we ever adjust?
I will definitely do that. In terms of FL would you be so kind and let me know what it does? I tried to read it online but it's so technical.
We will turn on the APAP mode for the next few days to see what changes need to be made.
