Avatar change and apology

Post by Hannibal 2 » Mon Feb 27, 2017 3:31 am

Apologies to anyone who found my previous avatar offensive or in bad taste, that wasn't my intention but not everyone found it amusing. I have received a couple of comments so decided to change it. I don't want to discourage anyone from posting.
Thank you.

Thank you for being so thoughtful. Your avatar never bothered me but I can see where others might have had a different view. So big time kudos to you for your actions.

Personally, I never found your avatar offensive. I don't really pay much attention to other people's avatars. I change mine when ever I get tired of looking at what is there. I just find another picture or quote that I like and use it for a while.

Not realizing avatars were interchangeable, I took a fair amount of time choosing my username and avatar.
I leaned toward optimism, as I wanted to confront myself with a positive image, and Monty Python always makes me laugh.

I just wanted to say that I hardly recognize you now.
I chose my Morning Glory avatar because my mornings were easier and showed more promise after CPAP.

Didn't bother ME.
I figure a person's avatar is their own business.
I've changed mine several times over the years I've been here.

The Political Correct Police, visiting your homes while you sleep, one fool at a time.

Personally I didn't like it, but I respect your right to project the image you think you want to project! Jim

No problem here - I can see how some fava beans might have been distressed, though.

I totally support the change. While your old avatar never bothered me, I fully support your new avatar.

There are many things I am not a fan of as I am still struggling with getting the right CPAP and mask and pressure (haven't had a titration yet, had my home sleep study, it was processed in a day and I was told the doctor would have to call me and read me the results, instead I've called the doc's office several times and they won't tell me anything without coming in for a visit, it's all about money for them meanwhile I'm suffering), but Pink Floyd is the bomb. Especially that album.

I used to always say I was born in the wrong century.

An individual of very good taste, thank you! It has always been my favourite album and I thought the new avatar was very apt for this forum. There has been a mixed reaction to my old avatar, I thought it was just tongue in cheek but understand why it may upset some folk, do it's goodbye to Anthony Hopkins!

Good luck with your therapy, I wish I had found this forum when I was starting out 2.5 years ago, you have come to the right place, plenty of experience and knowledge here!

Stay calm, and breathe in the air!
