I just took a quick look at some of my spikes without any events and I see what you mean.palerider wrote: just look at the dreaded mask pressure trace for places where it spikes up, without a marked apnea event. that's the easiest way to spot 'em.
Thank you for explaining it in a manner my little brain could grasp it.
I don't have very many events at all get flagged...AHI is almost always well below 1.0..and some of the spikes to around 24 look like your example but there's not many of them going that high.
Most of the time my IPAP highest point (probably during REM) is around 18 to 20 which goes along with what I discovered I needed when on APAP and in probable REM stage.
I never could spot any difference in pressure needs related to sleeping position though. I once did a month long experiment where I essentially built a wall to keep me on my side and I still saw the pressure increases in probable REM...so I just sleep in whatever position I want to and let the machine sort it out.
Now I will go turn off mask pressure graph for now. I don't need it any more. I have learned something though and for that I thank you.
