Just Got a New Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset

Post by bobyouruncle » Tue Jul 12, 2016 3:48 pm

Hi there, I just got the Resmed Airsense 10 Autoset.
It is replacing an old 2009 Respironics M Series. I had a few questions as the manual seems to be not that detailed.

Here goes:

1. Is there software available to get/read data from the SD card that came with the machine. ( Sleepyhead or...?? ) If so where do I download? I have Windows 10 and a Mac with El CApitan.

2. How do I get into the "hidden" menu to be able to change settings. Under "My Options" there isn't much there. I'd like to be able to change Ramp Time and Pressure etc. It came set with the Rx pressure, but sometimes I need to adjust, especially because this is the first new machine I have had in 7 years and have no idea how it compares with my old one.

3. Does it display AHI / Hours used on the display screen after each night?

4. In the User Guide it says it has Wireless, but there is no info on how to connect to my home wifi. Am I missing something?? No information is being sent to any healthcare provider as I bought the machine off the Healthcare providers website and they are not giving any support. Basically on my own and want to take control of my therapy.

Guess that's it for now, thanks in advance for any info ...

Oh and I forgot to mention that I need to be able to set the pressure relief and I assume that too is in the "Hidden Menu" because I can't find it under on the My Options menu.

Thx

I'll defer to others about the WIFI question.

You have a good machine. Should be able to do everything you need.

To get to the "secret" menu, press the two buttons on the front simultaneously and hold until the menu appears.

"wireless" does not necessarily equal "wifi".

in this case, "wireless" refers to a cellular modem, that transmits data to resmed, and you can use a pretty useless phone app to see the same data that's on the machine display.

Thanks Palerider, OK, so no wifi, but a cellular connection. I guess it's better to use the card and Sleepyhead...or just look on the display. How much data shows on the machine's display? 1 night? One week??

card and sleepyhead, the display is fine if all you want to do is see "was last night ok" after you've got your therapy fine tuned.... it's useless for getting to that point.

You can dial in various options - one day, one week, one month ... If I remember correctly, it goes to one year or All Data.

Sleepyhead is often required to dial in correct machine settings and perform mask leak control. Now that my CPAP therapy is optimized, I take a quick glance at the display for last night's event indices, leak and pressure. Usually, everything is good. If something is off, I would read the details in Sleepyhead and make adjustments.

You should go ahead and get SleepyHead. You'll be amazed how much more information you get. Then you can start learning what all of that information means. Take a look at SleepyHead screenshots on other posts to see examples.

Thanks all, I got Sleepyhead installed and had a quick question about the SD card in the machine.... Is the SD card locked or unlocked....or is it just a matter of taking it out of the slot and put it into the pc? I wonder how much data can be stored on the SD card and do I need to delete it often?

Thanks again

Unlocked when in the CPAP machine so data can be written to it.

Locked when in your PC because some systems write extraneous crap on it.

bobyouruncle wrote:I wonder how much data can be stored on the SD card and do I need to delete it often?
I have 735 nights of detail data on my card. It would seem at some point a warning message would come that it is nearly full.
