Because I'm really, really tired of the constant bickering, name calling, vulgarity, etc., on this forum. I learn a lot on this forum but the constant arguing, name calling, etc., really interferes. I have sent a PM to every forum moderator that I could find. I asked why this is being condoned. I asked the moderators to intervene and post a message stating that this behavior must stop, and if it continues the folks who perpetuate the constant fighting have their privileges revoked for a certain amount of time, and that if it continues, to be banned from posting. It's the same people who abuse and bully other people. This has to stop. Enough is enough.

There aren't any administrators you are expected to put on you big girl panties and act like an adult and if you keep on annoying the owners they will in all likelihood shut the forum down. They can't be bothered to play "mommy" to a bunch of entitled whiny brats who don't know a good thing if they tripped over it.

The door is right there, leave if you don't like it here.

Ditto! Some reason amid a sea of children. If you don't like the way things are run here, Leave or at least stop being the problem. If you do leave, please don't slam the door, I wouldn't want you to bruse!

What we need here, is a good spanking, and put out in the street with the doors locked, but this is a forum, cpap police don't have a warrent, but it's not hard to find a judge, swat is just chomping at the bit!

I can see why so many good people have moved on. That just leaves liberals and the riff raft, and a few others. Too bad you couldn't grow up. Jim

Notwithstanding all the 'nasty' and 'deranged people' (haha) here, this is still the Best Board.

But people here really need to be nicer to each other, and stop thread-crapping with personal attacks.

In spite of the foregoing, I now think self-moderated forum such as this one may indeed be the best way, and I say that because any unreasonable restraint on free speech detracts from freedom, though this forum is privately owned. The people on this forum need to clean up their act though, temper it down a bit. I really don't know if moderation is the way to a better forum. Have been elsewhere on moderated forums and I now have ambivalent feelings about such forums.

My 2 cents- try to follow the Golden Rule, that's all. That's good taste.

Call people out in the thread yourself by nipping the bad taste nastiness in the bud. People should not personally attack, just attack the position taken on a given
issue. Imagine yourself in court making an argument and act accordingly.

Another thought: If you have something really personal and/or nasty don't say it here! PM the person. That will save this board all the needless BS that goes on resulting in negativism and humiliation, a waste of time and bandwith. And the recipient can then decide whether to block or not, or discuss the matter further, in private! If certain people are deluged with PMs that point out why they are a negative force on the board it may result in softening of tone or change in behavior.

I have been reading longer than I have been posting, but I use a lot of forums and this one is really quite tame. Remember that while some members are "sensitive" others do not live their lives that way and both types need a place to communicate with others about CPAP. I have not seen any "trolls" here yet, Troll-- someone that makes a post with the sole intent of causing an argument.

It's kind of surprising that there is not more discord here, gee a forum for people that are sleep deprived

If I were the owner of cpap.com, which gets customers and referrals from this forum, I would want the forum members to hang around. By allowing some members to ruin it for everyone is not in the best interest of their business.
Why would they allow a few members to run off their customers. I have made several purchases from cpap.com because of this forum. If I am run off here because of all the bickering, they will lose my business.
It is the same as if they owned a brick & mortar store. They would not allow someone to stand out front and run off the customers walking in the door. So I hope they do not allow this bickering to run off internet customers. Because I am sure it is already happening.

I wonder what happen to that boy, to me it looks like he was "Bullied" by his peers. At least he got a hat, maybe he grew up, got a computer, and joined forums, so he could pass on the hate and discontent of his youth.

One good thing that seems to have come from this, newbies don't seem to be posting as many foolish comments and questions, just to hear the echo of their own posts. Jim

a large part of the trouble and strife seems to be caused by people bitching about their *perception* of trouble and strife, and acting like everybody else is a two year old that needs to be scolded, or protected.
