Its a very easy mask to put together.
Actually, when I tried the hybrid mask, I couldn't manipulate the pillows into the correct position in spite of reading the manual, watching the video, and calling the company. Avi might be right about Enchanter needing an alternative mask.

Enchanter, I think the best option in my stash of old masks might be the Quattro Air, large size. If you feel that might work, PM me your address and I will be happy to send it to you.

Enchanter,

This post makes me cry as no one deserves to be insulted. Don't ever post again that you deserve it, ok because you don't.

Sonnyboy,

As one who also greatly struggles with simple tasks, the anxiety comes from knowing that we're not understanding something that most people don't struggle with and then dealing with derisive and insulting comments on this thread. It might be helpful to think outside the box as to why someone isn't understanding something so obvious to most people vs. wanting to blame the person.

And by the way, I know you have good intentions and I am not making this comment to start a flame war. I am just trying to get people to understand that there is always more to the story when someone is struggling with issues in which the answer seems so obvious.

I agree with EMS that if you are too frustrated with Enchanter to offer help and I do understand that believe it or not, then don't post to the thread.

A three year old that can use a manual and put together a mask from it...I'm impressed! I have not one but two, three year old grandchildren and I will say that honestly neither of them can read yet. They know sight words but that's it. Neither could put together a hybrid mask let alone any other type of mask if it was taken apart. Either you have a genius in your family or you are a liar. Do you have trouble telling the truth?
I do not see where mgaggie said her 3 year old nephew actually read the manual. The manual has pictures. Perhaps the child is smart enough to look at the pictures and correctly put on the mask. Perhaps mgaggie simply meant to imply that this is so simple even a child can do it. Calling her a liar is out of line in my opinion.

Has Enchanter looked at the video emailed to him earlier in this thread??? Has he looked at the pamphlet emailed by Palerider???
Perhaps if Enchanter utilized these tools he would not he having so much difficulty now.

Some forum members speak of anxiety as being a big problem for Enchanter. If this is true why aren't you encouraging him to see a psychiatrist for medication, a therapist for behavior modification, or some other type of treatment for anxiety?

I understand OSA can contribute to anxiety and Cpap may help this, even so, Enchanter appears to need a way to deal with his anxiety now so he is able to process the new information he needs before he can start treatment.

I feel you are enabling Enchanter's childish dependent behavior and this is not helping him.

I see what you mean about it not being an act.

Thanks. I've been looking at these for an hour and don't understand fully. I do have the nasal pillows, but just nothing seems to add up. I'll keep trying but I might have to go tonight without the mask as its getting late and I'm getting sleepy.

49er,
You are explaining your story. I have not seen where Enchanter has explained his story.

The help I am offering Enchanter is to consider the following:

1. Ask your doctor for copies of your first 3 studies and all of the doctor visit records. You can start this process tomorrow. Consider asking your doctor if you can drive to his office tomorrow and pick up the results.

2. Ask your doctor when the results of the 4th study will be available. Make an appointment to review the results of the 4th study. If you do not like your doctor then now is a good time to find a new doctor, make an appointment, and forward your medical records. You can start this process tomorrow.

3. Consider posting the objective data in your test results onto this forum or directly to the actual forum member [genius] that is going to help you determine pressures, etc. You can delete or black out all personal data that you do not want to share.

4. Forum members email you learning tools, you do not read them, yet you ask for more help. Strongly consider making an appointment to see the therapist of your choice to help you find workable solutions to help you deal with the anxiety problems and learning problems you and other forum members have identified.

5. Some people prefer to read instructions others prefer videos. Most manuals and many videos are online.
Along with seeking advice on this forum consider doing an internet search on your own to see what is out there.
Google the name of the mask and user manual.
Google the name of the machine and user manual and/or clinical manual.
Do the searches again substituting utube for manual.

How did you find this forum? Did you find it on your own? If so, you already have internet search skills.
If not, then someone helped you and possibly this same person can show you how to do internet searches.

You mention the mask being "sharp" - are you applying the cushion to the mask before using it?

That was my initial mistake. But I have added the silicone on the mask. However, even putting the silicone over the mask is hard. It doesn't seem to fit easily.

If I recall correctly hits mask just slides gently into the frame. There isn't a "snap" like other masks.

I don't understand. There would be no room for the nostrils if I switched it.
