Getting set up with my CPAP machine
Re: Getting set up with my CPAP machine
Ay yi yi. Well, there is a humidifier manual and another manual. Each are about 50 pages long. Not sure where to start. I notice the mask is very sharp when I put it over my face and there is a lot of space for the air to get out.

Have you done nothing with all the responses you got over the past couple days? Have you not tried to actually put it together yet?
You don't need to build the machine, you only need to put the two connections together, power and the hose. That shouldn't take more than a couple minutes, no manuals needed.
The mask might be harder, but if you get stuck, ask.

Well sorry, I freaked out. Now as far as the mask, it is very very sharp and there's too much space for the air to get out.

Get the machine hooked up first.Enchanter wrote:Well sorry, I freaked out. Now as far as the mask, it is very very sharp and there's too much space for the air to get out.
Then deal with the mask.

This is gonna sound stupid maybe but this is where I'm confused. Is the humidifer part of the machine or a different part? There is the Remaster and then there is a manual too that says humidifier.Krelvin wrote:Get the machine hooked up first.Enchanter wrote:Well sorry, I freaked out. The machine is already put together for you. The humidifier is attached to the blower.Enchanter wrote:This is gonna sound stupid maybe but this is where I'm confused. Is the humidifer part of the machine or a different part? There is the Remaster and then there is a manual too that says humidifier.
There are ONLY 2 connections. Power and Hose. Make sure the dial is set to 0 and leave it there right now. When you have those two connections, turning the machine on should cause air to blow out the hose.

The top of the side with the humidifier opens (from the front). It has the clear water chamber in it. Don't worry about that for now.The hose goes on the hole that is just slightly smaller. The hose end is the female connection.Krelvin wrote:The machine is already put together for you. The manuals are not 50 pages long and I never even used them when I hooked this up at my house. I think they may be in several languages anyway.

On the machine is a cord and the color is red at the end. Where would this be plugged into?Krelvin wrote:The machine is already put together for you. I think that goes to the machine. Look for a small hole like a headphone type jack size. Check the back of the machine.Enchanter wrote:On the machine is a cord and the color is red at the end. Machine is different from my old m-series... brick is different but it looks like the humidier has a cable which plugs into the brick and the brick plugs into the machine.

So I'm plugging a cord on a machine onto a different spot on the machine? The problem is it feels so loose and can come out easily.postitnote wrote:I think that goes to the machine. Nothing should be loose. Is it the wider plug that feels loose? See if it turns upside down and try it. It should all fit tight. Push firmly!Enchanter wrote:

The side with the dial on top is the humidifier. The red plug goes in the back of that one.

So the left side is the ''dialer'' and the right side is the humidifier? Is that the whole machine other than the mask?

It's relatively loose. I'm plugging it on the humidifier side. It fits, but far from tight.
