Tapatalk Support On CPAPtalk

Post by johnnygoodman » Mon Aug 06, 2012 3:54 pm

Howdy,

Tapatalk is an app that makes reading forum messages on a mobile device easier to do. We have a first version installed and are taking it for a test drive. Please feel free to do the same.

These guys make their money selling their app to you, the user. So, you now have several ways to read CPAPtalk:

1. Free on Web. Load CPAPtalk.com from your computer just like always.

2. Free on Mobile. Just load CPAPtalk.com and click cancel when Tapatalk asks if you want to install.

2. Paid on Mobile. Download Tapatalk and load CPAPtalk.com.

Questions, bugs, etc welcome. Keep in mind that we're testing too!

Johnny

Howdy yourself,

Thanks Johnny for trying to help make this forum even better. I hate to be a grumbler, but is there anything that can be done to alert us who is in the chat room? I miss my chatting buddies.

Thank you,

Karen

The Tapatalk app cost $2.99 on Google Play (Android Market). I downloaded it today and gave it a spin using cpaptalk... Nice!

Tapatalk apps are available for iPhone, iPad, Android, Blackberry, and Chrome. Here's more information from the makers of Tapatalk:

My big question is what is the advantage, on iPhone, of using the app compared to just browsing to cpaptalk.com? I am generally reluctant to install even free web-site specific applications - they often do a worse job than the browser, and present an unnecessarily different interface from the one I'm used to on other computers.

Thank you for choosing to support Tapatalk. I prefer to use it vs web when I'm mobile.

For those who were wondering, Tapatalk is more text based vs html based. It is easier (and faster rendering) on my mobile device. There is less data being transmitted thus speeding things up.

Just wanted to report this error I get when trying to send / reply to a PM via Tapatalk from my Android Tablet. I've yet to be able to send any PM's via Tapatalk and have tried on two separate occasions during the past week. Always get the following:

Thanks

I get an error and can't send pms from tapatalk as well on android. I use tapatalk for another forum and can send pms. Ill try to get a screenshot. I don't think it is the same one as above.

Hi Johnny,

Thanks!!

You may have helped me reach a goal.

The goal is a bit of a strange one. I have learned that exercise is all about motivation. Owning an Ipod Nano 6th generation, which records and remembers all of my steps for years at a time, motivated me for years to walk more steps and get very close to my 10,000 steps a day (well, during the summer anyway).

A treadmill proved useful toward the same goal.

Recently I bought a Kindle Fire HD 7" to keep myself much more on the treadmills at the fitness center, watching movies, listening to Dr. Park interviews, responding to posts here (I hope to rig a small Bluetooth keyboard to attach to the treadmill handlebars). If I have success with that I will post a pix here on CPAPtalk.com.

The APP may make this easier to do.

Thanks again,

Todzo

Love the new version of Tapatalk. Wish it was available for my WP8 phone (Lumia 822). Works great on my Kindle Fire (1st Edition) .

Now very easy to quickly scroll through new posts, or to see if there any new responses to posts I have responded to, etc. Keep up the great work, Johnny.

I appreciate you making the forum available and all that you do to maintain it. I enjoy using Tapatalk for iOS and have noticed that there is no indication that a forum thread contains a poll. Hard to tell from this end what is a limitation of Tapatalk and what you have control over in the configuration. If you find yourself contacting their support for any reason it may be interesting to know what their thoughts are on this issue.

Especially like that I can review posts on my Kindle at lunchtime, then clear the posts that I don't have time to read. When I get home there are only new posts to read. Much more manageable.

I have used it for a little over a week now. The Tapatalk that I have was free and have several different forums loaded that I participate in and I love it! Thanks for going with it.

Is this a Tapatalk problem or forum problem?

There is a program called "Board Express" that supposedly works on WP8...
