Post by Geoff33 » Tue Apr 23, 2019 8:30 am

In an effort to lower my AHI; I would be most thankful for any suggestions as to what I should turn my lower pressure setting to. Thanks in advance!

Raise min pressure back to 9-10 and watch your OAs drop. How are you sleeping?

Keep all your posts in this thread from now on.

Raise your minimum pressure to 10 and let's see how things go from there.

after a few days with the min pressure bumped, you might want to tighten up the high pressure to about 13.6. That is your current 95 percentile pressure.

There is *absolutely no reason* to change the max pressure.

I can't imagine where such spectacularly bad 'advice' comes from.

Re: Turn up lower pressure setting on APAP?

Last night I increased my lower pressure to 10 and my AHI was the best ever at 3.5. I will post my screenshot (SH) when I get home tonight. At any rate, some background info (forgive me if some of this is redundant). I started APAP with my Resmed 10 autosense approximately 12 days ago. I have tried both the Resmed F30 mask and P10 nasal pillow and prefer the nasal pillow. I am using the auto ramp function and it seems to help (didn't have it on initially). I feel like at first I was bouncing around with my settings and I don't want to do that, so I appreciate all input and feedback. I still don't feel totally rested, but the sleep is better than when my AHI=35 (sleep study). So, I had a couple nights at low pressure setting =8, then last night=10. Should I take the lower pressure up to 11? Or give my body some time with 10? I know it may be hard to say without my screenshot, so stay tuned and I will post it, just wanted to get a head start with some background info. Thanks for the help!

You have the wrong machine in your profile.

There's no such thing as an "autosense", what you have is the Resmed AirSense 10 AutoSet.

Please fix your profile equipment entry to avoid confusion in the future.

here is the screenshot from last night. Low pressure of 11? Or should I continue with 10 again and let my body continue to get used to it? Thanks!
